As in a league cap? Don’t think so - Stockport have sold over 7000 I believe and their ground holds 10,900.

Well the season officially starts tomorrow.
Hopefully a season to remember. Great support and backing, just need the players to deliver for the 4450 season ticket holders now.

Yes, whatever the max capacity is in the home ends.

Capacity for home fans is 7,400 or thereabouts I believe. This is based on 9,186 capacity and 1,800 tickets available for away fans.

The thing is the capacity evidently isn't 9,100
It was basically full against Northampton (with 500 odd spare in their end) and the attendance was 7,469.
The realistic capacity of the ground is around 8,500.

We're 2K season ticket holders away from being a ST holders only club. If we get promotion this season we could be close to hitting that next year. Time to redevelop the Bishop haha.

For some reason we tend to leave F block and the bottom half of the first block in the North stand empty, this is to provide a type of buffer zone between home and away fans, it's not even a small compact corner space as haslam cut costs when building the stadium and shortened both ends, so to get to a situation where fans could get to each other they have 50 yards. 2 virtually empty blocks and 10 cops to get over.
The same police force let forest move A block next to away fans in the same stand with 3 rows of seats covered by tarpaulin to keep them apart.

The Forest Green game at the end of last season was made all ticket and sold out. That was 6,900 home fans. So that is the effective capacity in the home stands.

Surely no club would ever sell all its available tickets?

Sorry, what? Why wouldn't a club sell all its tickets? That's just daft.

At higher levels, clubs will cap the amount of season tickets they sell, to ensure there's match to match availability for those who can't get to every home game (so won't get a ST) to still be able to attend some home games through the season. The lower down the pyramid you go, the less likely that's required, so for us, unless we somehow rocket up the leagues and draw in an even larger fanbase than what's already there (whilst still doing nothing with the beloved Bishop St) I don't see that being a problem, as nice a problem as it would be to have.

Agree. Clubs also have to allow for mandatory ticketing for FAC games where the away side has to be offered at least 15% of the capacity, which might be lower than what is offered for general league fixtures to away fans.
