Good, fair report, Martin.

Great report as ever and I echo the thoughts above Martin, thank you for everything you do.
I just felt the players yesterday thought the job was done and for the first time this season lacked effort.
Maybe the occasion got to them but I would say only Macca and maybe Oates can say they gave their all yesterday

When your commentary clip came on I said to myself "hey, that's Martin - I bet he's chuffed with that." I had no idea that it was a suprise for you to hear yourself! Since I've relied on your commentary for many years, I very much appreciate , as do many, many others, what you do. I have noticed and enjoyed your growing skills in your voice work and it would not be disingenuous to say that your professionalism would stand the test of any major broadcast. I'm thankful though that you don't have to remain impartial! Thank you Martin, and enjoy your summer.

Yes, many thanks again for an absolutely brilliant set of match reports and high class commentary, striking the right balance between attention to detail and infectious enthusiasm. A very rare talent outside the highly paid professional world, and backed up by an enormous amount of very hard work.

Thanks Martin, fair report as always and the comment about the first 45 spot on.
Not wanting to blow too much smoke up your bum as I know you enjoy doing the job but thanks for the hard work this year, it really makes a difference to the average fan.
It’s been a mad season and certainly not a failure, leaves us to wonder what could have been if we’d not had all those injuries and suspensions that contributed to the bad run.
Losing in the playoffs is very cruel and made worse that the players seemed to get stage fright and lost it so easily.
Clough is a few weeks behind and has plenty on to pick these lads up and get a few new ones in to build and strengthen.

Thanks for all your work Martin, you know how much I value your efforts. Any time I am not a game I read your reports as the view that is most nearest to what actually happened. We are very fortunate to have you. Enjoy the Kent cricket summer, except for when you play Notts - I hope you get skittled in those.

Finally, 8 months later, Ticketmaster have confirmed to Mark the exact number of Mansfield fans at Wembley for the play-off final: 16,832

I guess that, as it's a number from Ticketmaster then it's number of tickets sold. I'd imagine that the attendance figure is very close to that. The One Call Stadium figure is harder to estimate, because season ticket holders will naturally miss a few matches yet are included in the attendance for every match.
