Not sure if I've done the linky thing right, but will definitely done our booking fee.
Apologies if it's been posted elsewhere, or if I'm allowed to post it here.

Thanks folks. COYS ⚽

Before anyone pays money to this page, I would just hold fire for a bit.

I checked with Mark Stevenson. He doesn't know about who paid the booking fee payment. He's finding out.

It's correct that the club absorbed the costs.

A very nice gesture to donate if you want to.

Maybe the drummer can use some of the surplus recently raised for him

What’s with all the negativity against the drummer just lately??
He does a brilliant job and all these underhanded comments may come back and bite you
It’s rumoured that he is thinking of taking his drum and following Forest as he is fed up of it all

  I very much doubt it. He wouldn't get in to the City Ground with it for a start.

I think the £218 would be better spent at a local food bank if I'm honest....
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

My point, Mick, is that the £218 raised would be more appreciated by a local food bank, than by JR.

my point is that one does not preclude the other.
we all decide where to spend our cash, and in the grand scheme of things, giving to a food bank would be more appreciated than any of the things i mentioned, but i can, and do, do both.
and whilst jr might not need the few quid we raised, it was more a gesture of thanks for all he has done than a realistic attempt to raise £50k.
its easy enough to profess on here that one is grateful for all jr has done for the club, quite another to actually cough up some dosh to prove it.

In addition, it’s unethical to raise money for a named purpose, then change your mind once people have donated.

Should the club choose to donate that cash elsewhere once it’s received, is a matter for them of course.

Why not start an appeal for food banks if you feel that strongly, I’m sure you’d get donations.

I'm not sure a dedicated Stags fan would do that just because a few people said something on a message board on the internet

Agreed, give it to the club and let them do what they want with it, i.e. Football in the community etc Or some new kit for the walking football lads, or the Mental health five-a-side incentive

there is no negativity for the drummer.. The drummer is decent and does a brilliant job... its the lack of auditing on funds raised which wasnt started by the drummer, well over the amount required. The ommission of the Westfield and SSA donations on the final total has really got peoples backs up. if the full 2k (estimated value based on westfield and ssa inclusion) goes to the drummer, id be amazed....

I hate to see people donate to a cause they think is worthy for some to 'potentially' be skimmed off the top.....

I don't have any negativity towards the drummer, I chose not to donate as I feel my money would be better helping a charity.

However, I understand why people have donated.

I think some people who donated would just like a breakdown of how the money is going to be spent.

Me personally and this is just me. I would have brought my season ticket out of it and then I would have done what somebody did on here last season and buy season tickets for kids or young people struggling because that way you're getting more stags fans through the door that probably wouldn't be able to attend normally.
