Who is the match referee? Hopefully not the same as the first leg. He got so many things wrong in the second half in my opinion. Think the players we need to stay calm and keep our concentration but I’m sure Clough and the coaching staff will drill this into them. The longer it goes without the Cobblers scoring the more their own fans will become unsettled and hopefully this will be passed onto the Cobblers team. Keep the Faith. COYS

Would be more than happy with the most boring & uneventful 0-0 of all time.

Reality: backs to the wall for 90 minutes after we concede a free kick in our own half within the opening 30 seconds

Goes without saying, but the first goal is obviously huge. I see Northampton haven’t won a game this season when they have fell behind so it would be a big step, although there’s a first for everything.

Our away record at the top teams is what concerns me going in to this one. Not a single win away against any side in the top 11 which is pretty mad. 3 draws in those fixtures. Praying that we’re due a big away performance!

We could easily had better results in 5 of those away games. Poor decisions from some of our players and some of the officials had a big impact on the results. We just need to cut out those mistakes and treat it like an away cup game.

A fingernail destroying 0-0 will do, an Oates thunderbolt in the first 30 seconds will be better though.

We're at the half way point. Like 1 game of 2 90 minute halves. We've gone in at half time with a 1 goal advantage. All to play for 2nd half.

Northampton are going to have to come out fighting. We need to get at them in the first 45 minutes. They've got to win by 2 or more clear goals to go through. Win by 1 goal to force extra time and penalties. Any other esult and we are in the final.

It's a big 90 minutes.

We have drawn the last two league games having been in front at half time. If we could have protected both of those leads we would have been promoted. We are poor away from home versus top half so hope we can buck the trend and keep it tight at the back for once. Hope we defend properly from minute 1 unlike other recent big games v MK Dons and Salford.

First 10 minutes so important. Just hope we don't panic and gift them an early goal.
Heart says 1-1 or maybe 0-1, head still saying it'll all be decided by penalties.

Speaking of pens… if it came down to it would anybody think about swapping keepers?

Stech would certainly look more imposing between the sticks.

I don’t think it would be a very Clough thing to do so wouldn’t expect it.

Didn't Clough bring on Stone last season in the game against Dagenham in the 120th minute. Looked set to go to penalties and Stone's long kick started the move for the winner.

Macca then comes out and says he’s gone for Wednesday despite a tight hammy.

That attempt at mind games lasted all of ten minutes

Yes he did actually! Can completely ignore that last bit then

Either he doesn’t rate Stech at them then or Stone is good at them!

Just studying the Stags team that lost 0-2 there earlier this season. Amazed to note that 10 of the 18 man squad on the day were not included in the 18 on Saturday. Only Bishop, McLaughlin, Hawkins and Bowery of the team that started in October started on Saturday night. Just goes to show how quickly things change in football.
