Don’t think so, probably referee biggest mistake tonight in a overall good performance.

I hope the FA/EFL don't take retrospective action with the ref apparently not seeing the incident.

Absolutely buzzing! The defence last night was just on another level - one of the best defensive displays I have seen for many years. They dealt with everything thrown at them. Hawkins has been immense over the two games.

I was dubious about the selection when the team sheet came out thinking it was a 541, but was very happy to see O’Toole in midfield when we kicked off. Again, him and Wallace were superb. Every player had high energy levels and energy great discipline.

Up the stags!!

The ref must have seen it as he gave a free kick.

Considering all the criticism he's had when playing in defence this season it really is worth highlighting Hawkins' last two performances. They were faultless. Without him playing at that level, I don't think we would have won over the two legs.

He wont be able to get away with it in the final. VAR would punish that.

Big credit to bishop, came out and claimed everything and was calm throughout. Yet some on here say he's not very good.

Northamptons style of football is brilliant for Hawkins to defend against, out of the three games he’s played in defence against them he’s been absolutely brilliant in all 3.

Is it possible for you to make comment on here Sedgy without back biting at someone? We’ve just got to Wembley for crying out loud!

Had little to do in terms of saves but Bishop did everything he needed to do, quick off his line on a few occasions, was brave under a barrage of set pieces, kicking not always accurate but away from danger. Well done Bish!

Bish did the basics well last night. He had one real save to make all game.
He will be so proud of his defensive wall which gave him little to do in actually saving a shot.
Well done Bish another shut out a week a Sat and we'll be laughing.

Watched the game back this morning - feels like we got every single piece of bad luck that we've had this season levelled out last night. Great performance, but 3 decent penalty shouts for them that could have gone the other way, 2 big red card calls, and even our goal would have been ruled out by a lot of referees. However, Boo f**king hoo.

After the tension and fear of a Northampton revival, watching the game in the cold light of day it was a perfect away performance.
Coming away with a clean sheet and a victory, Akins and Bowery were superb in curtailing the threat from their wide players.
Hawkins Perch Hewitt Macca dealt with balls coming into the box.
O"Toole, Wallace Quinn formed a solid midfield and fought every battle.
And Oates fought for every ball.
Bishop was positive and controlled his area well.
The Stags fans were brilliant, Booing from the Northampton fans helped spur their players on, i think not.
I see that Nigel built his yellow brick wall, and it worked.

We need a song for Macca, he’s too good not to have one (that I recall?)

He definitely needs one. Open to edits and suggestions on the below:

Oh baby don’t you know what it’s worth?
Stephen McLaughlin is the best on earth
Our Irish fullback wearing number three
Scored the goal to book Wembley

Rangers have used the above tune for John Lundstram this year for their Europa League run and it sounds great

And I couldn't be happier! Could have been different if Bish didn't make that save in the first few minutes, but Akins, Wallace and all were superb!
I just hope in the final that Quinn, O Toole and Hawkins all keep their tempers in check, as they look to be one tackle or incident away from a red card. What was Quinn thinking, it's like Harrogate all over again!
Let's see who we get tonight! Port Vale would be a connection, so I'm going that way.

10 days for my vocal chords (and nerves) to recover.

That was a truly fantastic team performance. Let’s enjoy the moment.

I thought the fans were great tonight. Great craic in the stand behind the goal … and the noise when we scored!

At the start of the game, I thought that was the loudest noise I have ever heard at a Stags game.

He didn’t do Northampton ( his team?) any favours because it killed any momentum they had albeit with not long to go in the match.

Interesting to see that Northampton fans on their forum are all trying to claim it was a Stags fan rather than one of theirs.
Claiming it was a flare in our colours - not sure when we last played in orange ?
Nobody recognises them so they can't be Northampton - does anyone on here recognise every person that was in the home end at the 1st leg ?
Despite the fact they entered the ground from a home stand, some are saying they saw them up on the hill pre-match and thinks they were Stags fans without tickets who sneaked in through a gate that was opened late in the game.
Why would a Stags fans try and disrupt a game we were winning, and attempt to assault one of our players ?
Looking forward to the report of the court case when their address will be made public.
