Goal line technology is definitely in use for the semi-finals

If we get to the final, this will disappoint the opposition. We almost always get some sort of wrong decision against us at a crucial moment!
Cue a dodgy linesman causing us to lose the semi-final.

Not a fan of VAR... supposed to only correct clear and obvious mistakes but makes just as many its self.

Goal Line is the only black and white crucial decision technology can really help with.

I agree. VAR is misused a lot. Slow motion is often used, which to me is totally wrong. If you can't see a refereeing error at full speed then it's not a clear error (offsides by the length of a toe are obvious examples). And if you watch movement in slow motion, you don't see the force of momentum involved, so it gives a false impression of how deliberate an action was.

Ban the use of slow motion and it would be useful technology.

I think VAR should be used in football jusf change what it’s used for.

If it’s offside, or gone out etc cool, use it.

What i don’t get is when you have one person make a decision, someone else looks at it in VAR and it’s their interpretation which is all important, in short it’s just another persons view of the game incident.

Knowing our luck, we’ll get to the final and benefit from a bad referee/linesman decision for once this season only for VAR to reverse the decision against us.

Such is the mystical rules of the mansfield town way. This will not come to pass. The mansfield town way is to need VAR and the camera stops working at the crucial moment.

That looked a stone wall pen to me in the first 15 seconds of the Luton Vs Huddersfield game. Not given

The thing is if it happened later in the game it would have probably been given.

I dont like any technology where it cannot be rolled out to every instance of the game, but if it has to be used then it works perfectly in cricket - there is a margin of error, and within that margin it is umpires call, this respects the role of the Umpire in the game whilst also allowing for the fact that they are also human. It should only be used in instances where the referee has clearly missed something, or there is a wrong decision outside of the margin of error.

Another pen appeal but not given, I think that was a penalty too

Good game so far though

That one was just an awful decision and I have no clue why the ref hasn't given it, however I don't like Luton so I am not complaining.

If we get a dodgy decision go our way they will undoubtedly be using var. If our opponents do there will be no var. Its just the Mansfield way

I've just been through all the footage of our matches in the last 20 years, and we've been the victims of bad officials on 1,756 occasions, against the expected number of 125.

It's off the scale. I fed the stats into the computer, and it said "no". I tried again and it said "unexpected item in bagging area" and shut down untidily.

Watching the shirt pulling and holding at corners and free kicks how can you penalise anybody as they are all doing the same thing ?? I can never tell who is committing the foul

Bad call that, need to have refs used to using it and not our usual suspects who don’t even let linesman make a decision let alone a video official
