We'll get a dodgy decision finally go for us and then will be wiped out by VAR

Yes definitely offside. Another ref would have given them a pen for that tussle in the box, when we were awarded a free kick. Personally I don't think it was a pen but there was argument the other way.
I do agree though that the referees chosen need to be used to VAR.

Bad call that, need to have refs used to using it and not our usual suspects who don’t even let linesman make a decision let alone a video official
