Should be battering this lot.

Every week same issues.

Look forward to your response if Northampton knock us out next leg...

"All part of the game"

Should be? Based on what?

They're a good side, evidently

Based on the fact that the first half we were by far the better side.

And man for man we've been better apart from Murphy and Perch.

But other than that yeah.

If Murphy starts vs Northampton I'll switch off

Forgot football was only 45 minutes... Glad we won the tie in the first half. Nice one mate

Had we taken off Murphy and Perch we would have walked the 2nd half.

Playing with Murphy is like playing with 10.

Btw it literally is that simple.

I'm positive 6,000 in the ground would be saying the same.

Second half was shocking, almost feel like we’ve lost.

Where is the composure? Why couldn’t we pass the ball? Feel like they’ve come out of that happier than us even though they’ve lost.

Quite happy with the 2-1 win but we never got out of 2nd gear all game.
We look shattered !!
Maris mopped everything up in the 1st half and made us tick.
Longstaff and Murphy again just not involved and why NC brought Wallace on and move Maris further forward is beyond me.
Wallace was poor and suddenly we were not winning the 2nd balls and not getting tackles in.....
We were crying out for Ollie Clarke in Midfield in that 2nd half
Northampton had all the play in the last 30 mins.
Well Played JJOT and Hawkins......Won almost every header tonight !!

He did cross the ball for the goal granted… but he did zip all for the rest of the match

Happy we’ve won. We could have played well and not won today, but my lord was that second half bad. If that’s how we play when they put us under the slightest bit of pressure then Wednesday is gonna be a long night for us. All those experienced, supposedly technical players we’ve got on the pitch and they were all to a man just kicking it anywhere as soon as they received the ball. Needs to be a lot, lot better on Wednesday.

Why did we have to play so so bad in that second half on telly. Wow.

Happy to keep a lead though, Hawkins clear MOTM but we’ve gotta play better on wednesday.

Need to watch it again Chief

It was a low hard cross. Here it is again for you. Note how Murphy gets the ball under control with the defender in front of him. Moves towards the byline and smashes the ball across goal. See wingers do that when crossing inside the area, can't float a cross or it goes out or favours defenders because the cross is rising. So cross low and hard the keeper has to dive for it (he does and gets a slight touch on it) if near him and defenders get a foot to it and it can go anywhere. It ends up at Bowery's feet and keeper on the ground having dived to stop the cross.

Still adamant that's a shot from Murphy though I guess?

My concern is that the older players looked the most edgy. How many times did we smash it randomly back to them in the second half?

Thought Hawkins deserved MOTM

Bizarre feeling that isn't it? We were having the same conversation walking back to the car.

We were awful 2nd half. Really annoying that their goal came from Quinn dicking about on the edge of their box.

And who was that kid who'd never kicked a ball before, that came on wearing Stirk's shirt?

Akins did well tonight though, we finally calmed down a bit once he came on.

Immense today. Whenever he's called a liability before a game he usually goes on to be solid. Did really well today with some great tackles and headers

Advantage Mansfield but it felt like a disappointing win.

Should have been more. Shouldn't have let them back in.

Stirk has mostly had a good season, but I feel like he has dropped in form towards the end of the season. He looked nervous when he came on
