or it's a joke that they get retrospective action when many other challenges go unpunished.

He's obviously wrong about the Lund "challenge" but has a point about challenges going unpunished. I still can't see how 4 match officials didn't see it, it was in midfield, near all of them!

I didn't see the stamp but saw Longstaff jump a mile in the air - me and my brother chuckled because it looked like the jump of a player trying to make the most of something, so maybe that swung it

I'm sure the referee was facing them from a few yards away when Lund decided to be nasty. I knew he'd be punished when it was too late to make a difference

Something must have happened to prompt the FA to take a look at the video.
Could it be Nigel or David asking them to take a look.

Apparently the fourth official saw the incident and made Stockbridge aware, alas to no avail.

Maybe someone at the FA was watching on TV? Not out the realms of possibility.

If that’s correct he should be banned from any decent level of refereeing. The fact he allowed him to continue without even a booking borders on cheating and has cost us possible automatic promotion.

it's not uncommon for clubs to send in footage, as I mentioned a few weeks ago

He was suspended for 3 games. They couldn't possibly appeal it.
