I thought that it was about to be announced a month ago but heard nothing since. Maybe it’s because they’re waiting until after the United tour has finished.

Donny Rovers have signed Wigan centre half, Adam Long, who has made 11 (3) league starts for Wigan. He also made 3(1) league starts for Notts County on loan.

Donny also have Lee Tomlin on trial. He scored the winning penalty against Huddersfield. They also had left back Cieran Dunne (22) on trial from Sunderland but have let him go. They are now giving James Maxwell (20) a trial at left back from Rangers.

Former Stag, Alex Fisher (32), has rejoined Yeovil Town from Newport County on a two year deal. Nice bloke. Had a good chat with him at Newport. Yeovil have also signed midfielder Sam Perry (20) on loan from Walsall.

Woking have signed Chesterfield midfielder Jim Kellermann (26) and former Millwall, Swindon, Tranmere and Northampton centre half, Sid Nelson (26).

Former Orient, FGR and Notts County centre half, Jamie Turley (32) has retired from professional football through injury.

Scunthorpe United have re-signed defender Kgosi Ntlhe (28) on a six-month contract after he was released by Barrow.

Harrogate forward, Aaron Martin (31), has signed for Gateshead.

The other Aaron Martin (32) who is the former Exeter centre half and who played against the Stags for Port Vale last season has joined Eastleigh.

Most observers who have subsequently watched the video footage think that the challenge deserved a yellow. It remains to be seen whether Paul Cox, presumably in conjunction with Stoke manager Mark Hughes, will want to appeal the sending off."

Crawley Town have signed Moe Shubbar, Ben Wells and Jayden Davis on one year deals after trials at the club.

Moe Shubbar was dual registered for Cheshunt and Edgware Town last season. He scored four goals against East Grinstead Town and another against Charlton Athletic Under 23.

Ben Wells is a versatile defender who joined QPR from West Ham United in July 2018. After his release from QPR, Wells played for Welling United in the National League South last season.

Jayden Davis came through the youth academy at Milwall and was on loan at King's Lynn last season.

This does not look like a big spending club.
