I did not believe he would come without a fee, but after 2 transfer request Clough has got his man.
His profile and record speaks for itself and as you can tell from his interview a proper team player.
Welcome to the One Call Lukas.
I see our start to the season he thought it was character building,

In all my years watching Stags I think I’ve always had a solid opinion on what our strongest 11 is. Now I have honestly no idea we have that many good options

I can see him playing on the right of midfield and building a partnership with Hewitt to rival Macca and Quinn on the left. We would be a truly balanced team if that were the case and would be much more sound at the back and virtually unplayable going forward.

Clough already said as much before this!

Two clubs bidding for him atm, I think Rochdale could do it if they have the cash available

They’ve just spent some money on a striker from Darlo

They have also sold 2 players so perhaps have some left. I feel a bit sorry for O'Keefe to be honest.

Pains me to say it but it will be Jordan Bowery I reckon.

We do very well down the left. Be great to be as potent down the right.

This is a great signing. Shows intent.

Hopefully he lives up to his billing and can help us over the line for the top 3.

Welcome Lucas. Now crack on lad.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

On their official calendar Burton have got Lucas Akins as January, Kane Hemmings as February (both gone) and guess who is on March?

John Brayford! ;)

Excited to read that right full back/ wing back is one of his best positions. As good as Hewitt has been I think he can be improved. Competition for places is always good anyway.

A great welcome thread for a truly humble chap.

However this being Stagsnet I've noticed its missing one thing. Where's the "I knew he was signing but couldn't say" brigade?

What a great signing. Really pleased with this one.

It's a weird feeling. A player we've been linked with every transfer window actually signing. Usually it just ends up like luke beckett or Mason Bennett.

Hearing he played admirably at CB for Burton too here or there is good news.

Considering how thin we are!
