One of my fav players from our promotion season. Come into the team in Jan and the couple of changes and the formation switch seemed to be one of the main reasons behind the turn in form.
He had a good goal record in the our first season back in League 2 too.

And the goal at Forest Green in the championship season.

Yes! Overhead kick wasn’t it? We were all sat behind the goal
Scored in front of the North Stand in April 1993. I was a Mascot but they all count.

His goalscoring record must be one of the best, considering he played in midfield. 96 in 171 for Belper, 35 in 54 for Eastwood and 18 in 55 for us. They wouldn't be bad stats for a striker, let alone a fairly lightweight midfielder.

Can remember the buzz around the place.. we got cox in and heard about his record at Eastwood. Then did we sign meikle and Stevo on the same day and everyone was talking about his 100 odd goals he'd scored. Great time full of excitement
