Is it a record?

Five home league games on the bounce, six if you count cup games as well.

Also last seven home league games all won.

We had 6 home games 9n the trot I think at the end of 78/79 due to all the snow postponements.

It was at the end of the 1978-79 season. Out of those, we won three, drew two and lost one.

Cheers Svante.

Seemed like mid summer by the time that season ended.

Pretty sure me & Tinman got a shoeing off a gang of Oxford fans walking home from the game that season.

Have we ever before today won 5 consecutive league games, all at home?

I've had a quick look, and only see 2 consecutive home league wins that season. Any sequence is broken by away matches. I didn't mean just consecutive from the point of view of home wins, I meant consecutive league matches, all at home and all won.

I can't see a record for consecutive home league wins in there. Perhaps it's a bit of a niche record, but quite unusual and quirky.

That would be quite a niche record.

Consecutive home games WITHOUT an away game in between.

I can see the "sequences " section, but it's not in there. I think we have a new record, albeit rather minor!

It's under sequences, home is 22 wins in the 20's which was non-league I believe, 10 in 49/50 which was league and I assume is the record.

I don't think that either of those beats our current record. Unless we played 22 home league matches in a row, which I doubt. I worded my question carefully, to emphasise that it's about consecutive matches all at home and all won.
Sweden Stag points out that we had 6 home league matches in a row once, but we only won three.

ok I see what you're talking about now. Not a record I would measure.

Yes, but we played some away games during that sequence.

I'm not suggesting that it has to be added to the list, but it's a record nevertheless,

I'm not saying that it's world shattering, just a point of interest. The Club Records page is a fantastic resource and full of significant stats, but there are also the commentator's fillers, such as the "earliest hat trick" or the "Consecutive Away Wins against the same opponent" which are also a bit niche and aren't likely to trouble the plaque engravers either. But it's nice to know. And when you've just set a new record, however modest or obscure, there's no harm in mentioning it.

What's the record for consecutive wins in change strip?

In the league very likely. We've been bobbins for most of the last 30 years.

20 wins in 23 in the Conf wasn't it?
