But centre forward is the position he is associated with, and this transfer window Clough will need someone for central defence.
Nartey , Forrester, O"Toole would be the favourite option, buying players in January can be expensive .
The club will be looking in the loan market and it could go to the wire

You seem to have a good angle in the finances of this club. How?

Is it the same way you have such a good angle on our transfer policy?

To be fair he stated the January window is expensive, for which it is. Players normally get sold for inflated prices and with Shelvey returned to Forest and Forrester loan now expired will most probably dipping in to the loan market again. Hopefully one of these will be to extend Forresters loan.

Fingers crossed JJ deal is sealed and ready to be announced on Monday.

As for any other permanent signings these certainly are possible but we'll have to wait and see.

Tag team. Nice.

It was a genuine question. I’m interested how he knows.

Out transfer policy is a matter of record.

This constant digging between you all is getting very tedious.

Belly and Broomo are both as bad as each other with it, but Bear is constantly lighting fires under Belly too.

Mods - I challenged Bear yesterday and it appears to have been deleted. Please can you step in and moderate the board. Almost every thread is full of sniping from both directions.

Got a feeling the Gibson rumours might be a deflection from trying to sign Marquis. Just a gut feeling. Obviously wages would be a huge hurdle but surely now we’re in the play off spots Marquis would be the better option compared to a non league striker? Had anyone seen Gibson recently?

I couldn't agree more. Like someone else said, ever thread is hijacked by school play ground behaviour and descends into the usual 2/3 having a dig at each other.

Can we just not ban them?

Clough took over when we were 22nd in the League, we are now 7th. I would be surprised if our wage budget if significantly higher, and we have nearly an entirely different squad to when he took over. Our transfer record surely can't be that bad?

Surely the money spent on Marquis would be better served on a CB upgrade?

Johnson, Hawkins, Bowery and Oates would surely be enough.

The deadline of noon has passed for those JJ rumours.

Is there literally any other news out there?

They don't have to announce it by noon, just have his paperwork sorted if they wanted him in tomorrows squad.
