Doesn’t surprise me. I’m also surprised he’s not been signed for the rest of the season.

I’d be surprised if he left us now. I don’t see why he’s go to Donny to play in a relegation battle. Clough gave him a chance when he was unemployed and he’s pretty much played every game. He seems the loyal type.

If he does sign, who of the loan CB’s can we return in January ?

Depends what we offer him. I think we would have to offer him an eighteen month contract for him to stay. Interest from other clubs strengthens his position.

Burnley won’t want Nartey to stay on loan with us if he’s not playing.

I think we need to be asking Perch what he is thinking at the end of the season before offering Otoole anything longer then this current season

Any of them I would’ve thought.

I'd be shocked if Clough hasn't already started the process. He likes to keep his cards close to his chest.

Lapslies had been recalled by Charlton before we made his move permanent, which none of us knew about.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

If James values his future he will retire to maybe a coaching role?

that’s that then if all falls into place, does that mean Narty is a season long loan ?

Think Narteys was a year long loan and Forrester was just until Jan.

I believe they really rate Forrester and wanted to extend his loan.. however if hes injured again the option to let him go back makes sense.

im hopeful JJ will stay for reasons already stated above.

Clough is expecting Forrester to be here for the season, as I said last month. Of course an injury could change that. Clough told me after the game on Tuesday that Forrester felt his ankle, but they were not sure how serious it was. There won't be any update on that before Saturday.

O"Toole will be looking for the best deal possible at his age, and who can blame him no one plays better than when looking for a contract.
Clough will be looking at his options in January and he gave O"Toole a short term contract.
I think O"Toole will be looking for 2 year deal, and Clough will be happy with a contract until the end of the season.
Burton released O"Toole and with no regrets, he can be a loose cannon,
He deserves a contract until June 2022 and see where that takes us

I would give O’Toole an 18 month deal to June 2023. I’m sure discussions are at an advanced stage even if that means NC understands JJ’s plans and requirements.
Don’t know where JJ lives but that may play a big part at this stage in his career.
Clearly I hope he stays

he’s certainly stepped up to the plate in our hour of need, wonder why we didn’t look at him in January when he was floating round looking for a contract even more so when he was ex Burton ?

He wasn't Ex Burton in January. He was still playing for them, they released him in May.

We weren't looking for a centre half in January.

But we were over the summer after Naylor’s trick. That said Perch was still in the frame at that point and was filling the veteran spot.
