Donny offered him 2k a week 2.5 years.

I'm going for 2.5k stags, 18 months with an option and promotion bonus

Remember the days when we would've thrown 4k a week at him. IF he signs, I have to say it sounds like very astute business

Very refreshing tbh.

It's a policy that will leave fans frustrated as we will miss out on targets, but bigger picture is the sustainability.

If Radford's are coming into town today, and O'Toole has been given until today... hopefully he signs for us, will be absolutely buzzing

It makes it a little more exciting for me. The whole "will he won't he" instead of "we'll chuck cash at him and he'll stay"

I much porefer how the club is being run now compared to a few years ago. Exciting stuff!

Yeah I agree to an extent. However The policy can't restrict progress. It's blanket application shouldn't diminish our chances at promotion. Over 30s aren't on the scrap heap. Similarly, what do you do about a 29 year old? Just because there's no resale value does that matter if it gets us promoted? It should be done on a case by case basis, which is has been on this basis if JJ signs on again.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Yeah I know. I'm 35, But reckon I could still do a job if Nigel does make the call, so haven't given up the dream just yet. ;)

I could be a box to box midfielder.

As long as that box was KFC.

Well… judging by today’s Facebook post either Blyth’s having a heatwave or the Radfords haven’t come back today as some were certain…

They posted a private jet photo on Insta yesterday. Could be John flying across, or they did it over the weekend.

Or… it could have been an old photo they just wanted to share… I could post a photo of me in Monaco now but I’m in Bulwell, not the same is it. :-(

The Radfords will have nothing to do with signings anymore, other than probably a courtesy briefing from David Sharp - he's the CEO now, he has the budget, he makes the decisions, he has the day to day sign off. For me, that was the key insight from the behind the scenes video that was done in the last transfer window - DS was briefing the Radford's on the phone in the same way I explain to my Dad how to reset the wifi. If they're around, they're around, but their presence or non-presence wont mean anything.
