Ugly 2nd half, big thanks to Hewitt, O’Toole did ok too the rest pretty average overall, too many misplaced passes and poor touches all over the pitch, a better side than Carlisle might have embarrassed us….but onwards and upwards ugly wins trump good performances in defeat every time !

Get in there! It’s always tough to get back on it after a big game such as Saturday so to pick up 3 points is great no matter how we managed it. It wasn’t pretty but the conditions were tough second half and half he team was tired with a very limited bench. To grind out a result with 3/4 key players missing from the squad as well will do for me.

Must have given the defence some confidence as well to hold out in the end. Get O’Toole signed up sharpish, my man of the match and he’s been great since he signed.

Cloughie got his clean sheet (somehow) after digging out Bishop for a bit of criticism on Saturday.

They had 2 goal mouth scrambles and hit the bar twice. We rode our luck and we've deserved a night like tonight after all the sour luck we've had this season.

Difficult to pick a MoM I think the effort was there but the conditions and lack of options upfront made it a hard fought and deserved win. Carlisle weren't special but probably can count themselves unlucky we were hanging on for times then.

Ah well, in to the top half and a lovely extra birthday present from Mansfield Town. The Negroni tastes better with 3 points.

After the game at Donny, three strikers and Clarke out, that was a great result. Its not always about performances. We looked a bit tired, some average players tonight but to still get three points shows our mental strength.

He wasn't criticising Bishop at all. I've seen a couple of folk say that now and I think they're misreading it.

Hopefully Oates is back as well as Hawkins. Be nice to play Salford with a strong strike force.
