I remember playing them in one of the cup runs in the 60’s.

They came here convinced they would be easy winners but went home licking their wounds and out of the cup.

This is the type of game legendary cup runs are built on. Bring ‘em on.

There have been previous home cup games were we have not open the QLE, but as you don’t visit Field Mill very often you would not realise this. ;)

With everyone saying it is a crap draw and hinting they could not care less about attending then why should the club spend money on stewards if the home crowd might be low.

Come on. People are disappointed with the draw, myself included, but we will still pull a decent crowd of 6k plus in my opinion, including away fans and the QLE will definitely be open.

This isn’t the carabao cup 1st round or the PJT.

Home draw against a championship side with a big fan base, could have been better but could have been a lot worse.

Can we get the bishop street redeveloped before Christmas?

197 goals in 213 games. He's still idolised up there and the NC connection will perk up their older fans interest.

Not a chance.

The only chance we have is Clough’s dad being a Boro legend and them wanting to squeeze every inch out of that storyline.

If the Forest game is not moved for TV then the police may want the Mansfield game moved because of resources to the Sunday

Don't get the negativity.
Winnable tie, full away end and should be a decent home crowd with the right pricing.
Let's get into the 5th round like 75-76, and then draw the big clubs.

Yes a right money spinner, no doubt TV money as well. Luck of the draw. Will have the means to repay the furlough money and reimburse the two councils that loaned them money. ;)

That first sentence is golden, should get that framed.

Do we get a free pass through round 4 then?

No chance. Chelsea Vs Chesterfield, Liverpool Vs Shrewsbury again, Kiddy Vs Reading, Morecambe vs Spurs, Swindon Vs City all have a much better chance of being on TV.

Without a doubt.
Although I think we have a better chance than all of those other underdogs of progressing. I think it’s a decent draw to be fair. Fairly big/decent side that should bring a few and also a full house from us and who knows eh?

It's the same as Cardiff.

Qe either want a top 4 team away, or a winnable game at home. For me this is neither.

I agree, those saying it could have been worse are right, but that's like moaning about having crabs and being told at least it isn't syphilis. At least we're at home and on any day anyone can beat anyone, but we will be massive underdogs. I very much doubt it will sell out.

I doubt there will be 5000 home fans, who could all fit in the West Stand. ;)

Would they put lower league team away to a big team on TV?? Not convinced by liv v Shrewsbury or Chelsea v Chesterfield to be honest, that said more chance of Yeovil, kiddy, Swindon and United v villa than us

So "jebend", "rissole" and "bellendousness" calling the same poster is not abuse.
You got one eye shut cos its your friend.

Terms like that don't bother me one iota but when you gave me a final warning for using "condescending", "idiotic" and "dog doo" I think you are very selective of your warnings.
Perhaps step down as a mod if you can't be consistent??

Spot on. No chance of Chelsea Spireites being on TV. One sided. If Cheats were at home, then defo. Same with Liverpool Shrewsbury.

I don’t think it’s a bad draw. I’m sure we all wanted David Seaman to say 25 or 26 rather than 27, but Middlesboro won’t be too chuffed having to come to us. Once the initial disappointment has subsided, we’ll start to get excited about the real possibility of the fourth round and the Mill will be rocking….

Whereas i personally am quite disappointed at least it’s at home, away would have been a nightmare.

Also, remembering back to the last time we played them, the season we went down, the season we still had him, the season where it was just a disaster, look at where we are as a club off the field at least.

We can look on and be happy with what we’ve got.

Also memorably in 85 too. The home game v Boro seemed to act as a catalyst to greater things after a few years in the doldrums.
