If this new variant kicks in properly then Boris might change the rules again and no Cheats fan will be going to Chelski.

Wilder will not take Mansfield lightly he knows Clough, it should be a big occasion and is winnable

I would imagine he isn't going to introduce any sanctions before Chrimbo because he doesn't want to look like the bad guy but after then it's quite possible. One scenario is we would be on telly anyway and get through to the 4th round to meet a Premier League club by which time the rules have been relaxed again whilst the Cheats are forced to sit at home and watch their team get completely battered in the 3rd round with no gate money.

Looking at the system Wilder played at Sheff Utd and his respect of Clough, he will take nothing for granted neither team will want a draw and this has the hall marks of a cracking game.
On the front foot against a top Championship club our players will gain experience and will need the fan base,
Looking forward to my cheese n onion burger, already, i feel a buzz at the One call, the away end will be sold out

Middlesbrough took 1700 to West Brom last month, so they might bring a similar number to us, or a bit less.

Shameful really - ties picked on fan base rather than general interest. West Ham v Leeds?

FA Cup third-round televised games
Friday, 7 January

Swindon v Manchester City, 20:00 kick-off - live on ITV1

Saturday, 8 January

Millwall v Crystal Palace, 12:45 - live on ITV1

Hull City v Everton, 17:30 - live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer

Sunday, 9 January

West Ham United v Leeds United, 14:15 - live on ITV1

Nottingham Forest v Arsenal, 17:15 - live on ITV1

Monday, 10 January

Manchester United v Aston Villa, 19:55 - live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer

A dismal Hull team playing a bang-average Everton team has to be the most baffling choice of TV game ever.

One of the worst games picked for TV you’ll ever see.

Not Hull Vs Everton? What a weird game to put on telly. If Hull win, it will be an upset but it's nowt like a non league side beating a prem or champ team.

Would've preferred to watch Kiddy Vs Reading

I don't see any of those clubs really needing the televised monies, a mistake in my opinion.

Does the club get some cash for the overseas broadcasting?

yes. £32,500

https://www.thefa.com/news/2021/dec/10/ ... e-20211012
Clubs selected for live broadcast by either BBC Wales or S4C will receive a fee of £48,000 each and those involved in fixtures that have been moved away from 3pm on Saturday 8 January 2022 will receive £32,500 respectively unless they have been chosen for live broadcast by the BBC or ITV.

That could cover the majority of O’Toole’s wages for the rest of the season I would’ve thought.

So is the 48+32+ normal fee for getting to that round and gate receipts on top?

it's £32.5k + 40% of gate receipts. And then more (£82k) if you win.
