gazza1988 here his were i stand in these turbulent time i can understand the Radfords wanting stability, i like the way David Sharpe does his job quietly and efficiently.
I trust the management and his staff to take the club forward.
Now i assume you have spent many years like Clough around professional football and in the dark corners of the game, before telling Clough what he is doing wrong.
Poor Tactics, Poor Team Selection, Terrible Man Management, He is no better than Dempster and Coughlan Rubbish in transfer windows.
The audacity in my humble opinion of this post, giving advice to a legend has a footballer and Manager lead to my sarcastic comment.

I've not told Clough what he's doing wrong, never spoke to the bloke. I voiced my opinion on a message board dude. You're reading way too far into an opinion. Does Clough browse fan message boards? If he doesn't then I've advised him on nothing. He's turned it around himself. The difference is he's turned it around the same way I, in my opinion, said he should do it.

I'm not after his job or anything so don't panic.

Funny you don't deride people when they pick an XI on the match thread. Is that not the same as what you're having a pop at me for? Telling Clough who he should pick and what formation?

I don't agree gazza, results have turned around because we have our best players fit, it's as simple as that. Clough said during our bad run results will improve when injuries reduce, that's exactly what has happened. Any tactical changes have been made possible because we have more players to choose from.

You see it was a long list of injuries and I did shut up when it was really bad even defending some team selections. Or when change was needed but didn't have the personnel to change it effectively.

Said since the window slammed shut we needed another centre half. He got one. So tell me. How many times, in the league, has it been impossible to play Hewitt at RB, select 2 centre halves (I include O'Toole and Hawkins in that) and Macca at left back?

Don't forget Hawkins and DJ have been very recent additions to the injured and can't play list so we wouldn't be weakening up front.

O'Toole and Hawkins are not centre halves though, so your point is flawed by that statement.

It’s all hinged on Quinn IMO. It may be that other players returning have helped, but it’s hard to say as Quinn’s return coincided. When he wasn’t fully at it and then subbed against Sutton, we lost.

I’d be interested to see how we would get on without Quinn in the team, now most of the other players are back. He was involved in all three goals on Saturday.

After tomorrows game, and the Hartlepool game on Boxing Day, we’ve got a tougher run of games coming up than the last 7 which came at a very handy time. Hopefully the confidence built throughout this good run will carry us to raise our game against tougher opponents.

Quite right, but when you've only got Rawson as the only fit centre half you have no choice but to play one of them. So we moved our best right back to centre back then played a young lad at right back weakening that side further.

It's not just inexperienced. Hewitt can play there but it's not his best position imo. Some experienced pros can play elsewhere some just can't. Some struggle.

George Maris, one of our best players this season, has been playing out of position. Most of last season he was an attacking mid ( Ollie Clarke played the holding role). Good players can play several positions well, but it obviously helps if they can play that position regularly with the same/ similar players around them.
Just saying!

Maris definitely played more games in the holding role last season than attacking midfield.

Rhys Oates is one you should be flagging Gazza, messed around with him as a number ten for a fair few games before playing him in the position he impressed in last season.

I couldn’t get to the match but listened to coverage of the second half. It sounded like we outplayed Donny big time and Stags fans sounded fantastic!
Well done to all the players and staff and not least the travelling Stags fans !!
Makes me even prouder to support our team. COYS
