Now that's a lot better than any assist!

Solihull's latest game

James Clarke should be tighter on Paddy Madden for the only goal of the game.

Very similar goal that Exeter scored with ball floating over Clarke at far post which Clough was critical of Clarke.

I agree. James Clarke's weakness is defending balls to the far post.

Great block on the line by James Clarke earlier in the game but he then seems to stick an arm out whilst lying on the ground to try and stop the ball going in. Possible penalty and red card.

He will play first team football in league two no doubt about it.

Experience and confidence and he will be more than good enough

Catching up with James Clarke.

A 2-1 defeat at Bromley followed by a 3-0 away win at Southport in the FA Trophy and a 5-0 home win against Dover with Andrew Dallas scoring all five and two assists by Joe Sbarra. Dallas also scored a hat-trick at Southport and could easily have scored five. The twitter feed also suggests he missed a couple of good chances against Dover.

Sounds more and more like James Clarke could be our starting RB next year!

I liked Clarke going forward but his, defensive play was suspect, IMO.

I agree he tends to get caught by ball over him the the back post but I think he’s better defensively than Gordon for example and he’s still young.
From reports he’s a nice lad and very professional - I wish him well

It will interesting to see how this loan period has developed his defensive skills when he returns

There is something special about him and, although he is nowhere near the finished article, I would hope to keep him

I would like to keep him as well. I would presume his contract is up at the end of the season? And if so I can him signing for Solihull as he seems to be enjoying his football there. One step back and all that.

If we go up this season I can see him going on loan to league 2 or releasing.

If we don't I think him and Hewitt would compete for the right back slot.

He seems to have grown in confidence as an interviewee and if you look at the reports from Solihull, this move has been highly effective for him

And to think there were fans saying sending out young players on loan was short sighted and a waste of time

Cant ever remember having so much young talent out playing football at a good level before this?
