Sorry to hear this Chris. Your dad was one of those whose face you always picture when you think back over the years to the real die hards who were at the most ridiculous games like Wrexham in the LDV Trophy etc. Top bloke and very dedicated to the Stags family. Lovely pics too. RIP Steve.

Never do I comment on stagsnet, but this post I just couldn't ignore. For anyone who didn't know Steve, let me tell you, he was a TOP MAN, one of the very best!!! I consider myself to have been very blessed to have known Steve, in fact, I feel so privileged to have known him. Probably the nicest person I've ever known and a star man.
He often used to tell me I was his 'hero', his 'God', because of his love of Northern Soul. When I used to DJ at the Swan, back in the early 70's, he was only about 14 years old and was too young to get in, so he would stand outside listening to the music in all weathers. All I can say is, Steve was certainly my 'hero' and my 'God', especially for the way in which he dealt with his illness. This World will certainly be much, much worse off with him and MTFC have lost probably their most ardent supporter.

RIP mate, you were an incredible human being!!!!!!!!

Sad news indeed.

I didn' know Steve, but it's obvious from the tributes he was an avid Stags fan and special man.

Condolences to his family and friends.

RIP.

Just a reminder for anyone wanting to say goodbye to my Dad.

He will be passing the mill tomorrow draped in a Stags flag between 2 and 2:30 traffic dependant.

Thanks for all the kind messages and especially to the chap who has borrowed me the flag.
