Broomo, will you go if Nigel isn't in charge, given it's so close to you?

Yes.

Even if he is fired I'll carry on coming to Mansfield games until he gets a new job.

The only part of Mansfield I don't like is this place during a poor run.

Delighted with the draw, although it's as tough as we could have got.

Perhaps that might make it one of those Sunday games that the BBC have a reporter at...?

Clough(snr) scored 54 goals in only 61 games for Sunderland

Cooper for manager on what evidence does our Academy coach move into running a club, while his only win was a FA cup game with no fans and a new manager in place
Cooper has no club management pedigree and would be a total risk

Honestly that's a best case scenario. No potentially embarrassing banana skin match, no dead rubber league two encounter, but a money spinning game at an impressive stadium that we're not expected at all to win.

I don’t want Cooper installed as manager on a permanent basis by any stretch. What I’m saying is he could well be interim manager by that point. Port Vale, Exeter and Tranmere is a tough set of games and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if our winless run stretched to 15 games. By that point Clough may be gone ahead of the Sunderland game. History possibly repeating itself, was the point.

Personally think its an exciting draw. When we drew them last year everyone said similar so who knows. Cracking away day and if we lose then at least it isn't to a non league outfit.

Out of the League Cup round one.
Out of PJT at 1st round group stage.
Out 1st round FA Cup.

All we have left is a long cold winter trying desperately to finish no lower than 22nd in the FL's bottom division. How thoroughly depressing is that thought.

No interest much in this game really
A five nil win one off would not lift League gloom as getting to league 1 is the main goal for JR and his trusty followers

whilst we'll obviously be underdogs to win the game at Sunderland, we're actually not out of the FA Cup. And that is the beauty of football, anything can happen. We hadn't won for 14 games last season when we went and won there.

Could be a blessing. We go into it as underdogs. We can't drop any lower in the league as its the cup. The mental shackles of being scared to lose can come off and we could win and give the lads confidence that if they play their own game we can win some league games.

How confident are you whiffy lad? A tenner says they'll all be out golfing or somat 2nd round weekend, not playing in the Cup. You up for it?

Surprise Surprise - another £50k handed to Salford City by the TV companies

Sheff Wed v Plymouth??!! King's Lynn v Walsall is more in the spirit of the FA Cup. Rotherham v Bromley would also have been better

There will still be the Sunday games for the BBC final score type programme I expect. Usually about 8 games moved for that. They are usually announced later.

There is usually one game for overseas broadcast too, like our game against Charlton.

The game will not be streamed on iFollow. That was a one off because of the pandemic, and being behind closed doors.
