They hate him at Bradford because of that Crawley game

I assume that means Stevenage would have had to pay compensation for him.

Now they've had to pay him off to get rid of him, and Stevenage ended up with a far better manager in Tidsdale who would have been a better option for Gillingham.

Evans will be laughing all the way to the bank again until he blows it all on fast food.

Tisdale is a far better manager than Evans is a interesting take considering what they have both actually achieved in football, he’s struggled since Exeter and I think getting them to the league is his only promotion, maybe he got some with Team Bath aswell

Evans would be good for Salford or something like that, he’s a manager that’s good at having money chucked at him, although he did well at Crawley pre and post money too, seems to be that Gillingham is a bit of a basket case at the minute. Definitely be some good jobs for him in football still but thankfully not here!

Tisdale got MK Dons promoted, but I understand if you’ve wiped that day from your memory

Haha yes I did, although my point still stands, Evans is a much more successful manager. Not keen on how Evans or Tisdale come across to be fair.

I'm sure he regrets jumping ship and stabbing the radfords in the back like he did.. He's achieved nothing since leaving us... Hope no other club touches him and his toady sidekick ever again

Missed his best chance of another double promotion with us... would have cost a lot but he would have got us there or there abouts.

although on second thoughts he spent a fortune at peterbough but the football wasn't good enough. He's a League two manager.

How do you juxtapose that with your protestations of us cutting our cloth? How do you think this bloater would have got on with Sharpe and his fiscal restrictions ?

I don't regret him leaving us, not for a single second. Our club is infinitely better off without a nasty, disloyal, over-rated waster like him.

I think he would have failed here as well.

In the 12 games after he left we picked up 12 points. (1 PPG)

Had we continued on 1.76 PPG for the season (before fat boy left) we would have picked up 21 points and ended up on 81, good enough for 4th.

If you consider the previous 12 games before he left, we picked up 27 points (2.25 PPG).

If we had continued that run, we would have ended up on 87, a point off Luton in 2nd.

You’re wasting your time. There are some on here who can’t see a good manager through their hatred of him (yet they would have DF back tomorrow despite him spending more money than Evans and having a worse win %). :?

Bet I know who will reply to this too

I hate Steve Evans as a person and for what he did to us.

But it's ridiculous to suggest he wouldn't have at the very least challenged for automatics.

Aren't South Shields the ones that have been splashing the cash?

South Shields should have been promoted to the National League North in 2019-2020. They were 12 points clear when the season was abandoned in March.

They have a wealthy owner. I saw them beat Cleethorpes 4-0 in the FA Vase Final at Wembley in 2017. Julio Arca and Jon Shaw were playing for them. Jon Shaw played centre half for them which he still does.

Yeovil Town assistant manager Terry Skiverton has left Yeovil after 23 years at the club. He made 315(13) league apps for Yeovil and scored 37 goals. He has also been manager and the head of the academy.

Got to say well done to Terry. 23 years is proper loyalty.

Grant McCann has apparently been sacked by the new owners of Hull City who want to bring their own man in. Grant McCann has won the League 1 title and made the League 1 play offs without much financial backing. He could be a good appointment for a League 1/League 2 club.
