Quick question. How early does the ticket office open ?

No doubt there'll be replies suggesting I'm just defending "my mate" (despite the fact I've probably only spoken to him half a dozen times in the past 5 years) I'm really not getting all this "we've got no hope" or it's a disaster comments.

Folk are making out as if we're playing really poorly when the truth is it's basic, schoolboy mistakes at the back which have cost us.

I'd argue the only game we've played really poorly in is Walsall, Harrogate were too strong for us but until the 2 red cards we were in the game.

Swindon should have been a point and some of the stuff we played was very tidy.

This isn't me being falsely positive or having "Clough tinted glasses" on. It's the reality of what I've seen on the pitch.

It really is simple. Cut out the mistakes and we'll start to climb the table.

I don't care what Saturday's result is. I just hope the defence, whoever is in it, can get through a game without gifting a goal or two.

How long have we been saying it though, my only frustration is we've had so much time to iron out these silly mistakes.
A scrappy 0-0 will do me.

Haha... So the league's best team's best player is a Mansfield player.

Can't make it up.

When we were beating colchester 1-0 at their place on 17th august we had 9 points “live” we had won/were winning all 3 games, sadly we conceded that dodgy penalty.

1 month and a day later, we’ve got 7 points.

They’re like 12/5 - half tempted to put some on!

Rochdale 25/1 (-2 handicap), -3 100/1 and -4 250/1

With our current defence those odds look a better investment than a cash ISA.

Having a look at sky bet at the handicap bit.

What the heck is a handicap draw (-3). I assume its either side -3 goals results in a draw then it's a win (just not both sides at the same time? I got mansfield -3 means we need to win by 4 clear goals and Rochdale +3 means Rochdale gets 3 extra goals and and if this +3 give Rochdale the win then the bet wins (its 1/40 so easily won most of the time.

Just wondered what the draw bit meant.

Play Rawson and Hewitt at centre half and carry on playing on the front foot. Ryan Stirk or Jason Law can replace Stephen Quinn. I might be tempted to give Jason Law a go as he played well against Sunderland U23s. I thought George Lapslie played reasonably well last week and he kept going until the end so I would start him in midfield with George Maris and Ollie Clarke and I'd go for Oli Hawkins and Rhys Oates up front with the DJ as a super sub. However Nigel Clough may want to start DJ after his well taken goal at Walsall.

Danny Cashman on loan from Coventry has caught my eye from the Rochdale highlights along with our own Corey O'Keeffe in a more advanced role.

Rochdale
Under Contract: Jay Lynch, Brad Wade, Eughan O'Connell, Jim McNulty, Aaron Morley, Jimmy Keohane, Conor Grant, Stephen Dooley, Ethan Brierley, Alex Newby, Matty Done, Jake Beesley, Abraham Odoh
Signed: Sam Graham (Sheffield United), Max Taylor (Manchester United), Corey O'Keeffe (Mansfield Town-Loan), George Broadbent (Sheffield United-Loan), Aidy White (Hearts), Joel Coleman (Fleetwood Town), Danny Cashman (Coventry City),Josh Andrews (Birmingham City-Loan), Jeriel Dorsett (Reading-Loan), Liam Kelly (Feyenoord)

Less hope is wrong, though for the first time in a long time I don’t feel confident that by some means we could get a result. Be it luck, playing well or the footballing Gods shining on us.

Can’t make it today, though what I would like is all to take responsibility for the actions on the pitch, make the runs, put their foot in and play like it means something. None of this half arsed play by the likes of mardy Quinn, none of this inability to clear a ball, none of this inability to win the ball back and none of this inability to be strong on the ball. Sadly in the last five games we have been all of the things I don’t want to see. It’s up to the individuals to stand up and be counted, not the manager as when they cross that white line they have to stand up and be counted, though sadly some haven’t of late and some such as ‘The Specialist in Failure Hewitt’ and Narty may never be up to it.

As I sit looking at updates on my phone I want to be made to feel deflated because I could not attend and not feel deflated because of the score line. Though sadly I think it will be the latter.

COYS - for flips sake.
