Happy with the point.......another 10 mins and we probably could have won it
Johnson has to start.....hopefully the clean sheets will come.
Although the amount of free headers we gave them in and around our box was still high.

Nonsense, Adam.
Had Charsley's shot gone in, we would had risen 7 places and everything would have been rosey on here.
Things aren't right but it didn't look as calamitous as previous weeks.
We will be fine

But it didn’t go in.

so we didn’t rise 7 places.

So that didn’t happen.

So it’s not nonsense.

can this side achieve the playoffs? maybe. but very much one stage at a time

So basically you’re speaking nonsense.

Mansfield could have risen 7 spaces, i could have won the lottery, england could have won the penalty shoot out against italy.

think about your post, review it and try again.

I'll take that result. Defensively we were much better, just that one mistake cost us.

Once we brought Johnson and Stirk on and moved to more of a 4-4-2 rather than 4-3-3 we were so much better. Hawkins was too isolated in the 3 up top.

Bowery my man of the match followed by Laps.

I agree with you, much more solid.

had we not had the defensive mistake we could have been fine.

I think that's what we needed Adam. I know some fans aren't happy that the football was terrible for a good hour (no arguments there!) but the focus was on getting something from the game and getting some confidence back in the centre halves especially.

Job done.

Today again was very poor overall, for 75 minutes we played awful and only in the last 15 minutes did we come to life. No leaders on the pitch and I am perplexed as to why Ollie Clarke is captain as he is bang average and as quiet as a mouse. Thought the midfield were poor overall and Maris did not influence the game like he usually does. The amount of free headers they had in the box highlighted out defensive frailties and they could have been out of sight, better teams will punish us.
Cannot understand people who think we will make the play offs , we will not finish top half unless we improve and improve quickly.

Anyone would have taken the point, it’s kept us away from the bottom sides and we’ve stopped the rot.

The football is agreeable, i like how we play, it’s just the defence, we’ve got much to be positive about, but we’ve still got to focus on getting to 50

Clarke got us a point today, and nearly three. He’s a bit hit and miss admittedly, but he dragged us back into it today.

I would have taken a point before the game.

If anybody didn’t notice we gave Rochdale several free headers in our box, as per usual and we should be thankful they did not take one.

Adam, I have reviewed and I stand by it. Meanwhile, you have moved from it was embarrassing to we may make the playoffs to had we not had the defensive mistake we could have been fine.

I can't keep up with your ever changing opinion on our performance so I'll leave you to it

Showed a lot of character to get a point after a disastrous mistake by Kellan.

Anyone who watched the game and still blames the manager for that mistake is an idiot.

Might post more when I get back.

Delighted for DJ. Hope he starts next week.

Bang on. If Rochdale had a striker who could have finished we would have lost by 2-3 goals. Clarke is having a very poor start to the season.

Pleased to have stopped the rot. I think Dale will feel unlucky not to have won the game as they had a few really decent chances to put the game to bed before we equalised unexpectedly.

I’m a fan of Hawkins, but is is not a lone striker. For him to be really effective he needs a player be play off him, preferably Johnson.

Lapslie’s back tracking today prevented two very good scoring opportunities. I thought he was very good defensively.

Rawson defended brilliantly too.

I think it’s time to accept Gordon for what he is - and average L2 player. He has good spells and bad spells but when it comes to the crunch he always seems to under deliver.

We definitely need to find another centre back in Nartey is out for so long. We lose too many headers in our own box and I get the sense that Rawson and Hewitt both need competition to keep them sharp. Rawson definitely suffers from complacency if he is an automatic pick.

On to Orient. A tough but winnable game.

I think calling anyone who disagrees with you an idiot won’t get you any respect on this board , you ain’t a Mansfield fan end of . On to the game we were poor very poor for 60-75 mins a draw in the end and a 1point was very welcome on recent results ..

Surely if he can’t bring in a free agent he needs to recall the two defenders

I have not been impressed with Hewitt but he did seem to improve through the game.
Rawson had two or three beautifully timed, crunching tackles.

I was pleasantly surprised by Stirk's impact when he came on. His sliding tackle was a piece of real tackle
