How did their No.9 put that the wrong side.of the post. Was a gaping chance.

Rawson missed it, player saw it late and bounced wide off his knee

Keeping the ball and our forward play has been shocking so far. At least no mistakes at the back so far

Said I'd take a 0-0 and I still feel the same so far. Hawkins is looking good but we don't look like we'll score yet

Neither side had a meaningful attack yet.

Has Lapslie touched the ball today... Midfield seems so quiet so far

Yeah. He's actually saved the defence a couple of times. As an attacking sense laps hasn't done anything I can recall.

The ball is going over the midfield heads most of the time

Been an even half. Dreary at times. Clear emphasis on no errors at the back so a lot of aimless punts from the defensive players. Rochdale playing some pretty stuff with no cutting edge. Very good defensive shape, no space between the lines

Long throw from Rochdale is headed away by Hewitt. Ref blows for half time.

Today is about getting the defence some confidence back clearly. We have defended okay so far. Would love to nick a winner.

Probably the kind of half we needed just to settle the nerves.

No major incidents either side although they play some clever stuff with Henry (10) their main link, he drops back into the hole really well.

Both Jordan and Hawkins are winning everything in the air but there's never anyone running on. Bowery has dragged it out of the air a couple of times and put in a really teasing cross.

We really do miss Quinn, so many times he gets his foot on the ball and plays a 5 or 10 yard pass . None of other midfielders are doing that today. Clarkes passing seems a yard soft.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Ty come on for Oates who's looked a bit sluggish and made one or two poor decisions.

As long as it stays Rochdale 0, I'm ok with that.

Gives us something to build on.q

Cant say Rochdale, an inform playoff chasing side look any better than us.

Stop the rot, get some confidence in them and we will be fine in this league.

Id be tempted to bring DJ on

Newby is their number ten Broomo, but I’ve been impressed with him too. His movement off the ball is excellent.

1-0 Mistake by Gordon who loses the ball trying to dribble out from the back easily tackled, players through out wide 1 v 1 into the box slides it across and its a neat finish into the corner.

You need a right back Nigel

That mistake was totally unforced.

Strap in guys, it's a trapdoor season again.
