Are you saying that it was the worst transfer window in your living memory?

Corner came in from the right. Cleared to Gordon who found the taker Stirk who crosses. Rawson challenges for it with his head and it falls to Johnson. 7 yards out who swings his left boot at it and it and the keeper seems to tip it onto the roof of the net.

Well get it right then first time then if you really know what you're talking about, seems you don't

so you're basically saying its the worst window in living memory, Id say there's been much worse.

I must admit George my memory is shocking and I'm sure someone will dredge up worse ones  however you've got to admit it's been pretty bad.

I certainly can't remember signing someone you know is injured and won't play for a while, that's verging on irresponsible idiocy

Cross in from McLaughlin and Rawson heads down towards goal but straight at the keeper.

It's like Walsall are playing us on a fifa game in the 90s but the difficulty is set to amateur.

Yep, supporters shafted again. Rudderless rubbish and its getting worse, week to week. Wonder if the Port Vale director of football fancies a challenge?

Fantastic support, pathetic performance. What’s changed?

On a serious note, I’m completely dismayed at what we’ve been left with in defence. It’s bordering on a dereliction of duty! You’d rather have Meneyese and Sweeney and CB than them pair today. You’d rather have O’Keeffe at the back than Gordon. You’d rather have Benning in support than Burke. To have had 2 transfer Windows and be left with a defence as poor as this is really, really poor and big questions have to be asked.

He’ll be getting dragged back in Jan for a loan elsewhere at this rate! He’s making great saves every week but still conceding 3. No good for him

That game was over in the first 6 minutes.

We need to look for a couple of experienced unattached centre halves and pay them whatever they ask for. How we only conceded three, I will never know. The main problem is that it is destroying confidence throughout the team and that needs stopping straight away before its fatal.

If we can’t get anyone in, he needs to play Hawkins and Rawson at the back with Johnson and Oates up front. I think we would still be mediocre at that but better than the current shambles.

Have we a pre-match interview with Clough or shall we just roll the weeks before?

He knows the missed targets in the summer have cost us. He knows. Given himself a lot of hard work to do.

Can guarantee defenders signing in January.
