They've hit the bar and scored from two long balls

So do you think this defence is anywhere near fit for purpose? You think we’ve recruited well?

Their goal was a corner to the back post, Macca didn't challenge him. Essentially a free header.

Well if we can't ask questions of the manager and his p poor defenders now, when can we?

So we keep having everyone back from corners and keep conceding from them.

These are nigels players and nigels signings.

Hewitt is what Jose would say of Arsene Wenger, ‘A specialist in Failure’. He has a better agent than most of the Journeymen that do the rounds in our league but no where near the ability.

What now pal? or you still living in fantasy land!

Just saying it how it is. We've been better and looked more lively, played the better football but conceded two awful goals again to set plays and lump it long football.

The defence needs changing asap. It's not fantasy land, it's seeing clearly what's happening.

Who would you have signed?

Not Hewitt. I would also have signed a better centre half well before getting two inexperienced loans in two hours before the window closed after losing out on a target in July.

Hewitt, Rawson, Perch and two inexperienced loanees at centre half. Tell me that is good policy and I’ll get you an Uber to Rampton.

Funny you can't actually identify a suitable target.

We know we lost out on better players to clubs further up the chain and ended up with what we could get. The policy was right, the execution was wrong.

I'd go and bring Jason Shackell in, we need the experience definitely

I don’t know if you’d noticed but my job or responsibility isn’t to identify players. I don’t get paid for it but the person that does isn’t doing a good job. Do you think this is a good defence ? Why are you defending this ? What’s in it for you ?

If we're going to accept having a bad defence, we have to score every chance we get.

Clough was a better manager last season with coughlans players.

What's this now, 5 loses on the bounce.... But don't anyone criticise Clough, Sedgwick won't have it.

1 CB, 1 RB, 1 RW and 1 LW. In a back 4 and people are wondering why we can't defend.

I’m not being dramatic, it’s another season wasted because we haven’t sorted out the defensive issues. To be left with this shower at the back after a full summer window considering how bad we were last season is actually embarrassing. Nothing we can really do about it until Jan unless the Stoke lad turns in to prime Pearce and by then we’ll be too far adrift.

Lightweight defenders that get bullied constantly.

No I agree the players that have come in aren't up to it. But we know who we went after, so the transfer policy is there. Just need to make sure we don't miss key targets... Maybe they're too ambitious?

I've literally been criticising the defence all game.

And it's not just the 4 defenders. The whole squad isn't doing a job, another free header because someone lost their man from the corner.

Terrible defending from Macca.

He is a winger o so can't be too harsh.

Making silly mistakes now we're under pressure

Seriously can we recall those out on loan?

O'Keefe Rochdale's best rated player so far today yet again
