Warsaw scorethread sponsored by Tyskie

Postby bobbystagsfan » Wed Sep 08, 2021 4:08 pm

It's Wednesday and I don't think I've ever done a score thread before!

Four defeats on the bounce, three in the league. We need to pick up some points here, hopefully three. Get yer predictions in!

Can we keep a clean sheet finally? We bloody need to!

1-0 with a goal from Hawkins

The referee is David Brock.

He reffed us last season in the 2-2 away draw to Leyton orient. We went 2-0 up until the 82nd minute when we conceded 2 goals in 10 minutes. The first was scored by Danny Johnson.

Martin rated him a 7. https://stagsnet.net/match/reports/view ... tchid=1050

For those on the train, drinking in Birmingham would be a decent idea as there's next to nowhere to go near the ground these days.

Only note of caution would be Millwall at the Baggies and Boro at Cov on the same day. All sets of fans passing through Birmingham too.

I had noticed this… Shakespeare should be lively!
My son is travelling up from London as well which I wouldn’t imagine will be particularly relaxing.

We haven't got a clean sheet in us.

Hope sinclair takes his chance to shine (assuming that he starts that is)

We'll be fine as long as we don't concede a corner.

Or don't get a blatant penalty awarded then get 2 players sent off.
Also if we score can we please hold on to the lead so we can settle down and control the game.

0-0 let's aim for keeping a clean sheet and anything else a bonus.

At least a small bonus Menayese won't be playing against us . Arguably he should be here instead of Hewitt , he seems to highly rated by Walsall fans

Warsaw is a tough place to go to. There will be no love lost and we will need leaders of men otherwise we could end up as failures.

If there's no joy in the division at Warsaw then there could be calls for a new order by some on here as a new dawn fades

814 sold so far, be nice to get to 1000 but may fall just short now including pay on the day. Think we’d have had a few hundred more if we’d won last week personally, but hopefully we get 3 points, that’s all the matters.

Walsall not pulling up any trees so let’s get after them and be on the front foot.

I get the feeling we only have to turn up to collect 3 points, three major players out and Tippy thinks losing will bring a meltdown for some.
Walsall went to Bradford and got a draw while finishing with 10 men, and held them to a 1-1 .
Keeping a clean sheet is what im looking for, Walsall a club comparable to us at home, take a draw away to stop our losing streak

I think you're about 100 over, as we just over 1000 tickets initially allocated to us. We're on about 850 so far.

Great numbers though.
