An excellent and accurate report, thanks Daniel.

Thanks Eggy, very encouraging report, but I am still surprised at Keaton Ward playing CB, having watched the game do you think this position is a realistic prospect for him?

It may be an indication that we are desperate in that position and need him to get as much game time playing there as possible.
It would only take one red card to completely snooker us at the moment and perhaps Clough is thinking Keaton would bring a bit of pace to central defence.

I think it's more an indication of the fact that Keaton is low down in NC's pecking order for a midfield place.
I also think that NC would probably play the likes of Oli Hawkins and Jordan Bowery at centre half before Keaton. George Cooper might even get a shout as he is the better prospect being only 18.

Probably so Tippy but Bowery isn’t as mobile and using Hawkins would deflate the attack. Whatever his reasoning I hope it’s part of a plan and as you say, Keaton doesn’t look like he will get game time in midfield.

r.e. Ward, I'd be inclined to agree SPBS, I think it's down to lack of numbers in defence and he's not looking likely to get a place in midfield (unless we get any more suspensions...).
As for whether it's a realistic prospect for him, I wouldn't say it's impossible. The biggest concern I would have from last Tuesday and last night is that he looks like he's still playing with a central midfield head on. A bit more game time and experience at centre-half and it could turn out to be an inspired move. He was certainly solid last night.
