Still amazed we let him go when he’s clearly come on so much since the loan.

Probably what the player wanted to do. Clough says he won’t stand in anyone’s way if they want to leave.

From James’ point of view, he probably felt undervalued here and didn’t want a bit part for the next couple of seasons. I’m sure he will make a very solid league player and could go far with the right team.

I watched the Spireite game last week and Clarke's defending hasn't improved.

I'm glad someone saw the same as me...

Don't get the love in with Clarke at all...

Hewitt Perch and Gordon all miles ahead of him..

Maybe Nigel should've kept him and told him your 4th choice right back so your going nowhere....

Disagree about Gordon. Perch and Hewitt are mature experienced players and Clarke would be one hell of a player if he were ahead of those two at this stage of his career. Give him time and experience and he will continue to improve into a decent league standard player.

Like Smith, it was the correct decision to leave and get the experience elsewhere as he wasn’t going to get it in our ranks

That's my point though Sandy , he may turn into a cracking player he may not but it was never going to be with us with the options we have.

Not suggesting we should have kept him. Just wishing him well.

I always liked Clarke and he never let us down when he played. He was never going to get the game time he needed with us (very similar to Smith).

In respect of this game, I want the fish to win. Bigger gates, good away day and night give us chance to get Dallas in!

Chesterfield will find themselves doing a Wrexham before they know it. 15 years in the conference and now with money they still can't do it (yet)

Few chesterfield fans really seeing the true picture now they've blown all their cash and fallen well short
