The supporters bar is probably the best I've been to. Food was outstanding there.

Wish cox great success with them!

New ground looks good and a proper club that should be much further up.

12/05/22: National League North Play Offs
Kidderminster Harriers 1 Boston United 2 (HT: 0-1)
Attendance: 3,921 (408 Boston Fans)

A very entertaining game play off game between 4th placed Kidderminster and 7th placed Boston. Kidderminster had won both league games and included former Stags, Ashley Hemmings (31) and Omari Sterling (28). Ashley Hemmings is their captain and has had a great season with 17 goals and 13 assists. Omari Sterling has also scored 9 goals with 11 assists. Omari whipped in some dangerous free kicks for Kiddy and had a decent game although the sponsors gave MOM to Ashley Hemmings.

Boston United were managed by our own Paul Cox and he had loads of experience in his Boston side including former Stags, Scott Garner (32) and Jake Wright (36). He also had Donny legend Paul Green who has gone back to Donny Rovers to work as a U16/18 coach after being previously a fitness coach under Richie Wellens. He is still incredibly fit for a 39 year old. I can remember Luke Shiels (32) playing for Retford United and Worksop Town in the NPL. The Man of the Match though was Femi Seriki (19) (on loan from Sheffield United) who was fantastic charging forward with pace from right wing back. He is a great prospect and I’m sure there will be lots of League 1/League 2 clubs looking to take him on loan next season. He would be worth looking at for the Stags.

Boston were the better side on the night and quicker to the ball. They had two great chances to score in the 1st half when Jake Wright Jr shot over the bar from close range following a free kick and Danny Elliott could have scored from a Shane Byrne cross. It was Danny Elliott who gave them the lead following a great Luke Simpson save from a Brad Abbott shot on the edge of the area. Fergusson crossed the ball back in and Elliott finished well. Seriki was rampaging forward down the right and put in some really dangerous crosses. HT: 0-1

Jake Dewhurst (21) in goal for Boston (on loan from Sheff United) made a great save from Ashley Hemmings at the start of the 2nd half. He had a good game. Hemmings equalised for Kidderminster in great style seizing on some hesitance in the Boston defence on the right and curling a shot into the far corner with his left foot. It was against the run of play. Boston kept going forward and keeper Luke Simpson seemed to have Jake Wright Jr’s cross covered but it was knocked past him by Alex Penny for an own goal. Boston could have added to their total with the outstanding Seriki dribbling through the home defence but his shot was saved at the near post.

Went for a beer in The Harriers Arms afterwards and had a chat with Paul Cox as he came out. He has a good record at Kiddy beating them 3-2 with the Stags and relegating them with Barrow. Boston play AFC Fylde away in the semi-finals on Sunday.

Caley Thistle (a team I have a soft spot for) managed 1 shot on target across 2 games & 3 & a hours of football in their playoff with Arbroath, finished the 2nd leg with 9 men. Then won on penalties.

I can only imagine the levels of shithousery they must have got up to in that 2nd leg.

Who is the Caley Thistle manager? Must be on Wycombe's radar if Ainsworth leaves.

I watched both Arbroath v ICT ties.
Needed matchsticks to hold my eyes open at times.
Even the presenters commented on how average the fare was.

I watched The Seven before too. I could watch that all night if the young lady presenter was on it :D

So who do we want to win the other semi final? I want Vale for lots of reasons, can't stand mardy Mckirdy, really like Darrell and of course there are other Stags links.

Swindon into the final, but lose McKirdy to suspension or injury.

Stoke lad and former Vale player, Harry McKirdy, gives Swindon the lead from a needless corner given away by Nathan Smith and then shithouses the Vale fans. Former Stags keeper, Aidan Stone, has made three great saves for Vale. Harry Charsley has been yellow carded. Good to see Darrell Clarke back.

Harry Charsley subbed at half time for Jake Taylor.

I hope our game looked better for the TV audience last night, as this is pretty dull fare.

I see plenty of empty seats in the away end so Vale couldn't have sold out their allocation.
Looks like a few home seats empty as well.

This games pace is a lot lot slower

Vale going forward... theres 9 swindon players back and vice versa. Very evenly matched and not much football on show
