It still had about 8 or 9 international players in the team to be fair.

Be nice if Salford can do us a favour but as long as we are sitting in 8th come half 9 tonight I don't really care.

Massive game for us.

Kellan Gordon’s younger brother, Kaide Gordon, is playing up front for Liverpool tonight. The commentator said his brother used to put him in goal at Mansfield training or something like that I didn’t catch it all.

Yeah he said Kellan fired shots at him as an elder brother would!

Now then sports fans. some games in L2 tonight.

Barrow v Salford
Leyton Orient v Newport
Scunthorpe v Bristol Rovers
Walsall v Bradford

We probably want Orient to win... and then lose on Saturday of course.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

0-0 draw, both reduced to 9 men would do for Orient v Newport

Port Vale 0 Salford City 1 (HT: 0-0)
Watched this game on iFollow last Tuesday after the Stags game was postponed. Port Vale should have been 2-0 up at half time as Ben Garrity had two shots cleared off the line by Theo Vassell and Donald Love. They were easily the better side in the 1st half and it just seemed a matter of time before they scored. The game also had to be delayed for 10 minutes after Port Vale centre half Connor Hall collided with the goalpost attacking a cross and bent it out of shape. The groundsman had to bring his tractor on to straighten it.

Gary Bowyer made two subs at half time bringing on Ash Hunter and Conor McAleny for Ndaba and Oteh. The subs worked as the Ammies grabbed a goal in the 50th minute when Ash Hunter's corner was cleared and Jason Lowe chipped it back in for Tom Elliott to knock it past Aidan Stone to score. Salford were a lot better organised defensively and they then parked the bus to grind out the win. Aidan Stone would have been very disappointed with some of his kicking.

I've watched Port Vale on iFollow three times this season and they have lost 1-0 every time. Annoyingly they got a draw against the Stags.

The xG result was 1.7 to 0.2 to Port Vale, a proper smash and grab

Even the Salford commentators were saying in the 1st half it was just a case of when and not if Port Vale scored. Fair play to Gary Bowyer he changed it half time and they nicked a win against the run of play.

Mad that Grimsby looked like they were going to run away with the league and are to lose 9 out of 12 games.
