Buxton scorefred - a catch up with Lindon Meikle

Postby part time pete » Sun Aug 01, 2021 4:57 pm

Even after Saturday’s draw at Forest, looks like I am still in pole position.

I wonder if I can keep it until the big one on Saturday as Buxton have won all their six PSF games with Lindon Meikle starring for the Bucks.

So in here lads and lasses.

Bowery must see that as a definite sign that he’s a bit player.

It's a long season and to have quality like Bowery on the bench is a great asset to have. You would have thought both he and Oates will have a big part to play, either as impact subs or cover for injuries. Bowery is also a week or two behind the others in terms of match fitness.

Oh I agree. As a pinch hitter (as baseball fans would know), he’s very good as a backup.

I think he knows he’s a back up to start with but it will also be to get his minutes up. He must be a bit behind the rest of the strikers.

He's still playing catch up and needs the minutes

No surprise seeing we have had Ward and Burke as centre halves from start
