No Lapslie in the squad today, and then straight away when you look at the squad you can see why he wants another midfielder. There’s no real quality to back the main 4 up and when those 4 (or at least 3 of them) are going to play most nearly weeks then you definitely need to get another one in.

I think Ollie Clarke will be in today so no panic buys please...we have plenty of options in midfield..I would prefer another centre Half instead but good ones appear to be in short supply

We also have Perchinho who can step in. Agree on not panic buying, but sure Nige wouldn't do that.

Tom Huddelstone playing for Hull but at Scunthorpe I think... would have liked Nigel to have a look at him.

No stream anywhere for this game? Can’t believe alfreton can do it but Hull can’t.

Charsley missing too, more pings for the squad perhaps?

Close to our strongest 11 that imo...

Do feel we could do with two more players

Clough has already said that Lapslie and Charsley are injured, nothing mentioned yet about Hewitt.

I want to see Oates upfront.

Hull on top last couple of minutes, one good chance hit over from close range. Shelvey looks confident.

Strong first 30 minutes, ref clearly has done pre-season with Hull but overall pretty even, maybe Hull a bit sharper in last third. This is pretty close to our starting eleven, we are looking good.

Pen was for handball, at opposite end but looked like Hull player raised his hand to block a shot.

Johnson through one on one, great save. We're well on top, playing great.

Excellent 1st half performance. Keeper looks strong and confident, centre backs good (especially Perch), midfield working hard and pressing well. Hawkins has been quiet and I can see him and Bowery fighting for a spot. Oates also quiet, played just behind front two so maybe in Lapslies role. Johnson looks sharp and was unlucky with the one on one. Overall, I'm quite excited by this side.

Decent half that! Both teams made chances. Perch looks very assured, Quinn and McLaughlin linking up well down the left again. One or two bright moments from the forward lads.

Gordon struggling defensively up against Keane Lewis Potter but to be fair he is a good player.

Just want to get through without an injury now.

Looks like Rawson is coming off, Bowery at CB

Faz off for Bowery at HT, makes sense as he played at Alfy.
