It has just been announced that a WW2 bomb has been found at the side of the M62 near to Goole
The M62 and A614 roads will be closed at 8pm tonight until a controlled explosion is carried out sometime tomorrow. They are likely to be closed when fans and the team are travelling to tomorrow’s game. Traffic will be seriously disrupted.
If anyone has a method of contacting the club tonight could you please give them a heads up.

Thanks for posting this, fortunately I'm going from Lincoln, but this will affect those from Mansfield, inc the SSA bus. I'll message Dean.

You are welcome Rob.
Can I suggest an alternative route for travelling fans. Normal route onto M18, then take M180 to A15 and enter Hull via the Humber Bridge. It should add 15 - 20 minutes to the journey but could be longer due to the extra traffic. I think it costs about £1.20ish to use the bridge. M62 should have re-opened for the return journey.

Close, £1.50 each way. They've just gone cashless, so credit/debit cards only.
And I'd go this route as well if the M62 is still closed off near Goole.

Near Goole, I was googling Google and getting nowhere.
I'm sure it will be open very early in the morning if not later tonight.

Fraid not Chip. They expect to be still working on safety measures through the night and most of tomorrow morning before a controlled explosion.

Never mind the supporters, what about the team.
Also might be worth informing JR the airspace is closed too, just incase he's flying over.
All over by 10am is my guess.

Came up from Nottingham via Newark and Lincoln. Just taken 25 minutes to cross the Humber Bridge. Unfortunately there is little alternative.

One lane closed for, er, nothing. Irritating.

An hour delay going but only 20 minutes delay coming back.
Those accustomed to privilege may feel that equality is oppression.
