The blame is in Southgates park Playing two holding midfielders against the third lowest ranked team in the comp . Scotland could go through ,Croatia were shocking in the afternoon match

Correct we are lightweight up top Kane /Sterling /Mount /Foden over rated and bigged up by the press . Non of them would get in the France Squad

Kane has lost it, maybe injuries or talk of a big money transfer, Sterling flatters to deceive, neither are currently worth a starting place.

It'll be all over for England soon, then we can concentrate on the footy that really matters down at t'Mill. I was 8 when we last won an international trophy and have all on staying awake watching the national team. Same old story evey two years.

That's the best Scotland will play and they couldn't score.
That's the worst England will play and we didn't lose.
I know whose camp I'd rather be in.

And don't forget the celebrations at the end for a 0-0 draw like they'd just beat us in the final.......suppose it was their final

Something that’s renewed my hope this morning. Portugal drew every group game in EURO 2016 against Iceland, Hungary and Austria, finishing third in their group. They only won one game in 90 minutes in the whole tournament.

Against Wales which is no big deal as England also beat Wales that tournament and Wales lost 3 games in total. Italy in 1982 also won the world cup without winning a group game whilst in the same tournament England won all three group games, went unbeaten and did not lose any penalty shootouts and failed to get to the semis !!
First match : 04.01.1975 home v Cambridge Utd F.A.Cup 3rd Round 1-0 Clarke

They only hope we have is Negative Norman getting the sack mid tournament.

He wonders why fans call him for the negative, over cautious tripe he serves up. Totally out thought last night and his answer was to leave two poor defensive midfielders on along with trip over the ball out of form Sterling on.

Think people are being slightly dramatic...Scotland nullified our attacking options brilliantly which forced us to play such negative passing around the back etc.

Everyone is criticising southgate for lack of 'excitement' but playing against a side who setup like the scots last nite is very difficult.

Will be far more open vs the czechs which will suit us far more.

That was like watching Barclays Bank walking football for the over 50s.

Why did Southgate think it was appropriate to play 2 holding midfielders against Scotland who didn't dare venture out their half? Why did he take foden off who was our only bright in what was otherwise an insipid attacking display?

Kane was non existent up front.

Fair play to Southgate, he's taken our team of good players and made them all that average. Not an easy job!
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Wrong team and wrong subs brought on
Should have brought Calvert Lewin on for Kane.
Kane looks knackered and Sterling too lightweight at times
Best player for England, Pickford better distribution of the ball than the whole of the midfielders

And then Southgate said after the game that he thought there were times his players weren’t patient enough!!. And then we wonder why we don’t score many.

Look, he just played for the draw and will play for the draw against the Czechs.

He is planning all along to finish second in the group which is the easier route to the final.

Not a big fan of Premier League football but what I've seen of Foden he looks like he could be a top player Far from over rated

It'll be like when Woy planned to finish 2nd so we could have the cushy last 16 game with Iceland.

"What celebrations" then you go on to describe them.

Did I mention the players punching the air, dancing about hugging each other like other teams when they win or is there no tv in El Dorado?
