Lincoln are a very well run club. They don’t have any director loans and the stadium is owned by the club and not via a separate company.
Over the years the club has spent £6m more than they have earned by footballing activities.
They have covered this by issuing shares (£7m of them). The vast majority of these shares are held by the fans trust and individual fans.
The Americans are buying about 9% of the club by the club issuing extra shares. This money is being used to cover anticipated losses for the coming season.
Directors do not claim a salary.
Those accustomed to privilege may feel that equality is oppression.
