Please tell me that he wasn't having a drink with Jake Speight, Sandy......

No I understand he was with his agent (identity unknown) talking to David Sharpe. The players were apparently in for a photo shoot in the new shirts. It could indicate he’s going to be the new number 1 unless the other keepers either aren’t confirmed or were unavailable.

I suppose they wouldn’t use Stech if they want him to move on.

He’s definitely going to be number one. United aren’t loaning out a keeper to sit on the bench, especially with heavy rumoured interest from other clubs.

Apparently, Rod retired at the age of 32. Was it injury-related? I don't remember.

I believe it was a pelvic injury.
Greaves released him, I can remember not being very happy at the time but I forgave Mr Greaves in the end :D
Greatest keeper I've seen at the Stags. I am sure I read a few years ago that although he didn't play for Wolves, he was on the bench for the Uefa Cup final but I may be wrong on that.
We definitely need rd sonething ing named after him at the club.

I remember 3 local goalkeepers Polly searson , Dennis Wright , and Arthur bramley great players in there day, then my fav.rod , Hitchcock ,hollins hope bishop is half as good as them and we will be on our way , goodlook to him from us all at Field Mill,I have been watching Stags since 1946/47 and this is my first season ticket, so get behind Nigel and the Radford’s give us the second div.we once held. :coys:

Pleased about the signing.

Not sure it's helpful that he isn't with us for pre season.
