Kane scored 15 in 37 games for us, which is good. 15 in 36 just this season with Burton in the league above us. He must be one the most underrated players amongst our fanbase this club has ever had.

How anyone can make out that Hemmings either isn’t a good striker or isn’t good enough to improve us is absolutely ludicrous. He’s streets ahead of Jamie Reid, and Danny Rose for that matter, who half of our fanbase would absolutely love to have back

I was disappointed when Hemmings didn't sign permanently aftwr his loan spell, would love to see him back if it is an option?

Would take Hemmings back

Under Clough would be a good signing as he is a pretty experienced and decent footballer and would add good strength to the squad.!!

Sometimes though best not to turn a clock back and new faces might be better but with Tanser gone its possible some of the early targets are not going to be possible and Nige is on Plan B minus!!

Not sure where you get your rumours from but he played 34 times in the Championship for Barnsley last season. Very much doubt he would drop to us.

True, but he only played a maximum of 63 minutes in any game post boxing day. 711 minutes from a possible 2070 in the second half of the season. Not sure if he had injury issues, but lack of game time could be a reason to leave.

Yes, but he hasn't played in League 2 since the 2016-17 season. I doubt he would drop to League 2 even if he was to leave.

I'm not saying the rumour is true, just pointing out why he may wish to drop from Championship.

Ex agent Twitter in reply to someone about a Barnsley question since been deleted

Apologies, looks like it was a similar account with the same profile picture.

We may definitely be signing a Connor though

Chaplin is too good for League 2, but you can’t beat a rumour like this so I’m all for it

Just people putting two and two together when Clough was at a Motherwell game. But we now know it’s more likely he was watching McMann

No one confirmed where the Kane Hemmings rumour erupted from. Sedgwick said something vague and everyone was eating out the palm of his hand.

Keeper Paul Farman has signed for barrow.

Always thought he was a good keeper. Always seemed to have a

It didn’t come from Sedgwick, it came from Warsop Stag who said it came from ‘bloke in the pub’

That ‘bloke in the pub’ must be a relative as you aren’t allowed to mix family groups??? Or are you? I don’t know anymore. If only the rules on Covid were as easy to understand as VAR’s interpretation of Offside.

Yes, I’m the guilty party and am claiming absolutely zero inside knowledge. I popped into the market in Warsop for a pint at the weekend and a pal of mine, a long time Stag, made a beeline over to tell me about the Hemmings rumour. Said he’d been told it by a bloke who owns a business in Warsop, no idea who.

That’s it.

It was supposed to be a swap deal with Reid but we wanted 2 bags and they only offered 1.
