Tranmere's dangerous wide player Corey Blackett-Taylor who was released by Tranmere or who did not sign a new contract has joined Charlton Athletic in League 1 on a short term contract.

Richie Wellens is desperate to offload Omar Bogle from Donny Rovers and it was rumoured that Bogle had turned down the chance to sign for Bradford City who are seeking a replacement for the injured Lee Angol. Derek Adams has denied that Bradford have made an offer but does not say that he is not interested in signing him:

"Derek Adams this afternoon denied claims that the Bantams were leading the hunt for the well-travelled frontman as they eye a replacement for the injured Lee Angol. Bogle has reportedly turned down two offers from League Two – but Adams stressed that City wasn’t one of them. He said: “We’re not in for Omar Bogle. We’ve enquired about a number of strikers but I read a quote this morning saying that we were favourites to land him. That is totally untrue. He will go to one of the highest payers in the division this season, I would presume, and that’s not going to be us. We have not made an offer for him.”

Who’s spending more than Bradford? Salford? That’s it surely.

Wellens apparently wants to sign Will Grigg who he wanted to sign at Swindon. Will Grigg still lives in the Midlands area and wants to be closer to his family.

Pleased for him, he's on loan til January.
Not sure if the loan is on the same lines as Bishop regarding anyone can end the loan if unhappy.
Think I read about Clough saying all loans can be ended if player or clubs are unhappy.

This is a depressing situation. We have 'invested' heavily in players and the higher the wage budget for players usually transfers to finishing in a higher league position. Not Mansfield. Oh no no no... We spectacularly go against the trend.

This is what happens when non footballing people make footballing decisions.

This and the fact we capitulated our last 2 games has taken the wind out my sails. Will something ever go right for us? We've got Clough and Sharpe who know what they're doing so I'm hopeful, but cautiously so. Hope this year is our year, finally...

We are missing a proper leader. A Stuart Pearce. If we had one in the side, we wouldn’t have drawn at Colchester and we wouldn’t have lost on Saturday. There’s a lack of testicular fortitude in the side. It needs correcting.

Promotion or not we are clearly not spending that much anymore while improving so club is going in the right direction in that regard

funnily enough, I was only thinking last night if we could sign Tozer and Boyle that would guarantee an extra 12 or so goals this season.

Evans can only do it when given the biggest budget in the league, he's a vile fraud.

Pretty surprised he went to Gillingham in the first place, have they ever been big spenders?

Too good? But surely they're in that situation because of his bad management only having one striker... Was surprised he got/ went to Gillingham will be surprised if he gets another league club

He will for sure. He did a decent job last season. Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Salford or Bristol Rovers, or maybe even somewhere else in L1

Salford would be a perfect fit for Evans.

If he’s making noises about going I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s got something lined up

Was wondering if this could be the complex deal we were working on but just seen that he’s apparently going to Scotland
