How does this guy keep getting EFL clubs... I think though it will show you how good flynn is, getting the goods out of signings like this.

Just reminds me of a very desperate time, signing players from youtube highlights from Monza

Alex Fisher has had one good season in 2018-2019 for Yeovil Town - 39(18) league starts and 13 goals. He scored 8 goals for Inverness CT and 5 goals for Torquay.

Since Paul Cox signed him for the Stags in 2013 he has made 82(88) league starts and scored 30 goals. He has only made double figures league starts twice. He averages around 10/11 league starts and 4 goals per season.

Who is going to sign Nicky Maynard and Nicky Ajose? Rochdale? Swindon?

That's an incredible signing - my mate is a Charlton season ticket holder and had been purring about him for the last couple of seasons. He was actually sold to Cardiff around deadline day this year and the Charlton fans were pretty gutted about it, so to go from that 6 months ago to a free transfer to Swindon is pretty weird. As you say, injury prone but still played around 60 times for Charlton in 2 seasons.

I was reading in the FLP about the EFL's Transfer Embargo Reporting Service on its website.

Clubs under embargo can staff up to ensure they have 23 players. No transfer fees can be paid. Free agents can only sign 1 year contracts. Loan players can be signed for 6 months but the parent club has to pay their entire salary which probably means Oldham, Scunthorpe and Swindon are paying nothing for the following players:

Oldham
Jamie Bowden (Tottenham Hotspur-Loan)

Scunthorpe
Tom Billson (Coventry City-Loan)

Swindon
Tyreece Simpson (Ipswich Town-Loan)
Kaine Kesler Hayden (Aston Villa-Loan)
Romoney Crichlow (Huddersfield Town-Loan)

Clubs under embargo are:

Championship

Derby County
Regulation 16.2 - Failure to provide audited annual accounts
Regulation 16.3 - Annual Accounts not filed with Companies House
Regulation 17 - Default in payments to HMRC
Profit and Sustainability Rules - non-submission of audited accounts

Hull City
Conditions under monitored loan agreement

Reading
Breach of Profit and Sustainability Rules

League One

Fleetwood Town
Conditions under monitored loan agreement

Gillingham
Conditions under monitored loan agreement

League Two
Oldham Athletic
Conditions under monitored loan agreement

Scunthorpe United
Conditions under monitored loan agreement

Swindon Town
Conditions under monitored loan agreement

I wouldn't think we are paying towards our three loan players either as we are helping the three clubs out, perhaps maybe travelling expenses etc.

I bet we are paying loan fees for all three players. We were paying £5,000 per week to Forest for Tyler Walker.

Don't forget that some loans include unplayed wages too. We could agree with man utd that we pay less if we play him.

That may well be true but Walker was not a particularly young player needing football league football experience to enhance his and his owning clubs investment.

It'd depend on the club and their finances. Man utd could probably afford to continue paying bishops wages if it meant he got games. Can forest afford to pay Shelvey his wages for sitting on our bench?

Premier League clubs arguably do not need any money for young players they send out on loan but they will normally want a club to pay so much per week for their wages and sometimes a loan fee on top. They can also build in penalty payments into the contract so you have to pay an additional fee if the player does not play a certain amount of games.

Darragh MacAnthony frequently discusses loan deals on his podcasts. He says that higher league clubs will expect lower league clubs to pay part of the player's wages and also provide accommodation for the loan player. He said they will also try and charge a loan fee and include additional clauses such as paying a promotion bonus to the club and paying the loan player's wages for the couple of months at the end of the season. They may also charge a fee if the loan player does not play a certain number of league games. The player's agent will also want a fee for the loan deal. You also have to pay VAT as the club loaning the player out invoices the lower league club for the player's services.

He said that when they had Ben White on loan from Brighton from January 2019 to May 2019 it cost Peterborough over £100,000..... and he said Ben White and his agent and Brighton were fairly reasonable when negotiating the deal! Ben White made 14(1) league appearances for the Posh.

I think Graham Coughlan said that Jack Evans was a free loan from Swansea City but we never played him. He went to Newport and was released by them at the end of the season.
