Would imagine he has gone to Gillingham because they pay well?

No, they’ve got a low budget

Flipping 'eck, you been sitting in those boardroom budget meetings again?

Evans has been talking about it all pre-season. They have the lowest budget in L1, or did.

Ah that's ok then. A proven liar that tries everything to squeeze a bit more.

Why do people pine for some former players ?

We can do better

Regardless of what he says, it's clear that they will have bottom 6/8 budget, and that the top L2 teams will be able to pay more. It's common sense.

Look at the players in their squad, look at where they have been previously, look at some of the other clubs in the league, who they have signed, size of the clubs.

I can’t do all the work for you. Not that it would make any difference as you disagree with most of what I say for the fun of it.

Darragh MacAnthony also praised him
on his podcast saying he had done an unbelievable job in getting them near a play-off spot, and that Salford should have employed him as he would get them to the Championship.

As I said earlier, proven liar playing the game.

Boris said on the doorsteps and so was reported in the Chad that he'd pay the MPS surplus back to the miners, has he???

This wasn't meant to be political, just making a point

That really means very little.
Peterborough were no nearer promotion at the end of the season than when Evans joined. When he went there they had 50 points from 34 games (1.47 per game) and were 8th.. At the end of the season they had 64 from 46 (1.39) and were 9th. He actually made them worse, statistically.

Yes I know, Darragh said it didn’t work out for Evans at Posh but he still thinks he’s a great manager.

Don't blame him for going after the money.. Good to see lower league players getting their payday.

But one good season in his whole career, Don't think he will have a repeat of last season, especially at a level higher than ours.
