Tranmere have sacked Keith Hill, who got them into the play-offs.

Hill took 60pts from his 33 games. Over the course of the season that is 84pts, which would have been enough to win League Two!

The Tranmere fans seem pleased about it.

Apparently lost the changing room and upset the fans etc.

Looks odd from the outside, but clearly much more to it. Mark Palios always strikes me a very sensible and pragmatic chairman

That is a strange one.

The decision will be a good one if they gain promotion through the playoffs.

Bolton fans didn't have a good word to say about him for most of the season.

He seems to have played a major part in their climb up the table into the promotion slots. A quick glance at their forum shows that a lot of them would offer him another year, even in League 1.

To be fair, didn't James Perch get a lot of stick from Scunny fans before they let him go.

Arguably our best defender this season.

We are as bad, Salford is another that is up there.

Hopefully we get a bit of stability next season, the only way I see Clough leaving is him getting a job offer he just can't refuse.

I don’t think we are that bad. We’ve just made some bad choices. Only one I’d query is Flitcroft but even the mention of his name sets the blood pressure of some off

Our chairman wanted to do the same thing after the MK Dons game

It doesn’t sound like the same situation as when DF was sacked.

It sounds like all the players where behind DF, but the Tranmere players are completely agains Hill.

It’s easy to speculate I suppose

The experience Perch brings is immense, especially now we have a number of youngsters coming through.

With that in mind, I reckon our most important signing of this closed season could be (needs to be?) Stephen Quinn. He's had a proper positive effect.
I backed my car into a cop car the other day, he just drove off, sometimes life's okay...

The answer to that question is almost always ‘injured’!
