Speaking of Salford, why have they been allowed to kick off later than the rest of the division, they could still have gone up if the vegans had lost, so it wasn't a dead rubber.

They had problems with the pitch with all this rain and were given an extra hour to get it playable

I think the main thrust was we wouldn't need 50 points. We didn't. ;)

No Musings said Southend are predicted to finish on 41/42 points.

I said that was what they would end up on based on their PPG at the time. I also said that the average number of points required to stay up from the last ten years was 41, so four points out.

What I would say is, Southend have gained four points since they’ve been relegated and the pressure has been off.

On the final tally’s we’ve been mathematically safe for over a month.

A great job done by Cloughy! Looking forward to next season.

Martin has done a great job commentating this season. He's just as good as the BBC local radio commentators and better than some of them.

Vale need a left back.

Could Sir Mal be the solution to their problem?.

Salford had to win to have a chance of getting in play offs. That was the position if they kicked off at 3pm or 4pm so it didn’t really effect the way they would approach their game.
As it happened all they knew by kicking off at 4 was that they probably wouldn’t reach the play offs.

They looked disjointed, thought Flitcroft would have galvanised them by now?!

Being serious, another good display after the relegation pressure is off. A few good signings and I will be optimistic again in pre-season!

A nice run out of run out and a win well executed, we can not take much from the game as the pressure was minimal, one of the commentators said in the extended highlights Mansfield are a nice footballing team, For the first time this season i saw a goalkeeper command his area and shout to his defenders, and deserved his clean sheet.
I also saw a full back in Clarke that gave me confidence , I hope to see him and Pardington back next season.

Not sure what you are expecting from a 3rd choice league 2 keeper to be honest.

He's made his professional league debut and his first ever professional league start. Also he sent a player to tye hospital in 2 games. I thought he did OK all things considered. Loads of room for improvement.
