But that'd not go down well with the football pureists on here Yorkie lad. Anything less than 350 passes and touches for a goal and they'd be branding Clough a hoof merchant next season and saying 'I'm not watching that rubbish, we'll never get promoted with those outdated tactics'.

Cheltenham, with two games to spare ;)

Hemmings wasn't good enough to many posters on here

Those posters got Reid and Bowery instead

And you were one of them until he’d settled in and scored a few goals.

He's turning into one of the worst striker loan signings in my 44 years of watching and there's been some bad ones

Brilliant :D

Be nice to try & get someone in with a long throw, always seems to be a weapon at this level to shake up attacks

Best see what big exodus is upto nowadays.... Wouldnt be any worse than mayenese :D

Keep defending like that and they will be coming straight back down again.

Woeful defending for promotion contenders. They need to invest if they are to stay up. They only need one point to go up automatically, who do this remind you of, we all know how that ended.

That’s assuming Morecambe and Tranmere both win today.

And Cambridge only needing a point against the Codheads.

He looked good against us and has scored a couple in the last few weeks.

Have also seen Conor Shaughnessy featuring heavily in Rochdales survival bid lately and two more assists tonight.

He could have been booked 5 (five) times before he was shown a straight red card. Bizarre refereeing I thought. He'd been booked 11 times in 20 games before tonight according to the commentators (I've not checked that).

He played ok. His goal should have been saved I thought. But no doubt that his red card changed the game as Exeter really did not look like getting back into it.

Credit to Alex Fisher, who gave Grimsby defence problems.
