Hard to tell which side will turn up... could play well and win, Could play well and lose at the death, could miss a boat load of chances and draw again, could get battered 4-0

Both sides can only afford one game out of their last 5 and 6 respectively that they don’t win. That’s assuming we only do as well as our worst 6 game period of the seasons (2 more pts). It would require a run which neither team has produced more than once or twice all season.
That's if they are targeting us which they won't be now. If Southend target Colchester and win their game against them then they are only 1 point behind 22nd. They need to get two more points than Colchester in four games and have better form than Grimsby.

Yes I was specifically referring to Dan’s question about whether we were safe.

We're not safe.

We're bloody dog raspberry awful.

Last two seasons have been equally as poor, enough to put you off being an active fan.

The Clough positivity wore off a while ago and looking at the club's situation in the cold light of day is utterly depressing.

Get safe and quickly so I can forget about MTFC for as long as I can. I just hope that some enthusiasm returns by the time August gets here...

Bye. You been saying we will get relegated all season. Clough positivity not worn off with many I am sure. They have grown some balls.

Clough positivity certainly hasn’t worn off with me.

I just realise that he inherited a thoroughly poor group that was playing with little guidance to failing tactics and were nailed on for relegation. He has reshaped and invigorated that group enough to ensure that relegation would not take place whilst at the same time saving money which will be used to build his own team next season.

I am positive that Clough will bring in good players during the close season meaning we have a genuine tilt at promotion next season. I am also realistic that he hasn’t had any chance of having a proper go this year and it was wise not to splash out in January.

I am now more positive that Clough will succeed than when he first arrived as I was dubious he could save us.

As predictable as they come. For what it's worth, I don't think we'll go down because Southend have a mountain to climb.

You call me and others who are like-minded negative, but I am not negative. I just can't pass the last 2 seasons as anything near acceptable.

I am genuinely thankful that I don't have such a low bar as you.

And like I said, I just want us to secure safety so I can enjoy other parts of life without the Mansfield result tainting the day, and hopefully, by August the enthusiasm has returned. Gives me a break from your snide mockery too.

You stated Clough positivity worn off, I feel it as not. Sure many will agree. Also the bar for
Clough on appointment was avoid relegation, which I feel we will do.

I think we will avoid relegation too.
I like Clough as well.
I haven't enjoyed the last 2 seasons.
I'm out.

Mmm... No I didn't. I said We're not safe, then said but I think we'll avoid the drop. I said We're awful and have been for 2 seasons. I also said the Clough appointment positivity has worn off and then said I liked him.

If you're going to be petulant, at least get your facts right.

You can’t associate Clough with what has gone on for the last two seasons as he wasn’t even here.

You are correct that we’ve had two awful years but that’s not Nigel’s fault and it shouldn’t effect his positivity rating. We won’t always be losers but we should stick with it when things don’t go well.

If you aren’t careful folk will be calling you a fair weather fan who only supports during good times. We know that isn’t true or you wouldn’t be on here during the last how many years.

Watching every one of the remaining games and fully expecting us to win, lads know they need to make sure were safe and not rely on others... stevenage nothing really to play for?

It`s about time we got the some of the fortune we have been giving to others, a sloppy back pass, or goalkeeping fumble to get us 3 points tomorrow and then Nigel can play the young`uns.

That cash injection for Stevenage is great.

I just can’t reconcile myself with the idea of selling children to the highest bidder

It's so depressing that the likes of Stevenage, Scunthorpe, Harrogate and Barrow are above us.

Come on Stags. It's a lovely sunny day. Put us out of our misery and win today.

I have a good record visiting Stevenage - 4 visits and 3 wins with goals from Ryan Tafazolli and Jack Thomas in 2015-2016, Danny Rose in 2016-2017 and Ryan Sweeney and Tyler Walker in 2018-2019

Anyone else think there’s a chance we may see Stech starting today? Stone made a few errors which may see him dropped in the same way Gordon and Reid were?
