HT: Bolton 0 Col U 0

Bolton dominating play. Lots of side to side passing as Col U sit back. Declan Jones hit the bar from a free kick on the edge of the area and fired a dangerous cross across goal. Dean Gerkin had to punch Eoin Doyle's header away off the line. Doyle did score from Gethin Jones' cross after a good pass by Dappy but it was offside. Col U have not had a shot on goal but did start to push up a little higher as the half progressed.

Fingers crossed, Carlisle will do us a favour at Southend. (I know it shouldn't come down to this).

1-0 to Carlisle who have been the better team early on with Paul Farman pumping long kicks down the field as usual.

Great goal from nowhere by Ozzy Zanzala. Controlled Hayden's clearing header just inside Southend's half and then turned and ran at the Southend defence and fired a shot into the corner from just outside the area.

HT Southend 0-1 Carlisle

Carlisle much the better side for 30 minutes. Southend slightly better for the last 15 minutes. Southend nearly had a second penalty when Farman made an absurd challenge but fortunately missed the ball and the player.

Thank god for that, can’t see them getting three wins and a draw from last 7 games.

Lovely finish.

Every week that goes by where Grimsby and Southend dont win is a week closer to safety for us. Their task gets greater and greater, and the pressure mounts.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

That's also on the basis that we don't pick up anymore points.

We're looking for 1 win essentially.

FT Southend 0-2 Carlisle

Thanks to Carlisle for the favour. Comfortable victory.

We'll return the favour by beating Exeter and Newport for you this week!

Thank goodness they are as pants as us. We really shouldn't be thinking like that, but it does bring comfort.

This season reminds me of the Murray season we’re we just survived, God awful team, but there was 2 worse than us and one of them was Tranmere I think and we played them towards the end of the season we’re a win would guarantee survival, We managed to scrape a 1-0 and survive and that result relegated Tranmere. I don’t ever want to go through a game like that again, I was a total wreck sitting through that.

Just finished watching the Southend v Carlisle after putting it on pause. Carlisle deserved to win but Southend will be kicking themselves after Akinola missed his penalty. They also had a shout for another penalty in the 2nd half and Akinola scored from a Clifford free kick but it was ruled offside.

Good finish by Gime Toure for the 2nd goal curling a shot into the corner from the edge of the area.

Jacob Mellis came on as a 2nd half sub for Southend.

Col U v Southend on 20th April could be tasty.

I've been thinking this for a while. It was a good job Cheltenham and Tranmere were terrible that season.

Will we beat the 48 points that Adam Murray's team managed?

And both still look like beating us to League 1... Tranmere twice at this rate
