As I mentioned the other day, it looks like you can add Keaton to the list too.

Probably nothing but I noticed one of the Mansfield coaches (the old bloke) was chatting with Scott Brown at the end of the match.

I hope it’s nothing, he’s had a really poor season.

Seamus McDonough, our goalkeeping coach. No surprise to see him chatting to a keeper.

I thought Clarke played well today. Solid defensively and made himself available going forward.

If he’s not here next season I really wish him well. Just needs a bit of luck !

I thought Clarke was tidy going forward but Rodney went past t him several times with ease.

Excellent. I've rated his composed performances.
What we need to do is keep him playing instinctively, keep spraying the passes around. As soon as fear creeps in he's doomed, as are all the youngsters. They need our support.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

i’m thinking the players he puts on the tx list will be the most interesting.

He marshalled McKirdy better than he did Rodney but there was a lot to be impressed by. He blocked a couple of shots and crosses by not diving in and waiting as long as possible. These bode well for the quality of his defensive play. I suspect he will not have come across many players like Devante Rodney at the level he has been playing!

Yes, I expect him to get a 1 year deal and Quinn to be offered something then Midfield is looking pretty good for next year.

Looks like most other positions need reinforcements and assume that’s where the 8 or so come in?

I thought Jamie Clarke played really well yesterday.

I'm sure Harry McKirdy is one of the players that Darrell Clarke is looking forward to releasing and giving him a piece of his mind.

First time I saw McKirdy was when he was on loan at Stevenage from Aston Villa and he took us apart at Field Mill that day.

Seems to have lost his way since then.

Most Vale fans think that Harry McKirdy is the No 1 target for Darrell Clarke looking forward to telling him a few home truths. It was the same at Carlisle United. He's a talented player but high maintenance when he is not in the team. He needs to drop his "I used to be a great prospect at Villa" ego and knuckle down.

I wonder if the same applies to Corey O'Keeffe.

Port Vale fans seem to think that John Askey's former Macclesfield players are also in line to get the boot - Danny Whitehead, David Fitzpatrick etc. Theo Robinson, Zac Mills, Shaun Brisley, Scott Burgess and David Amoo are also being mentioned. Luke Joyce is being put in the "heart as big as a lion but no longer good enough to get us promoted" category.

The massive decision that Darrell Clarke has to take is whether he releases Vale legend, Tom Pope. The fans seem split but I think Darrell Clarke needs to let him go.

Frank Fielding and Shaun Williams being released by Millwall.

Fielding played for and was signed by Nigel Clough at Derby.

Fielding is a good keeper but has only played 3 games in the past 2 seasons, which is a slight concern.

And one of those he was subbed after 43 minutes!

10 apps in the last three seasons. I watched the highlights on his last appearance and he gave a penalty away.
